Really?? God, this movie was awful. Two hours of my life that I wish I'd done something else with. Like pull my toenails out with pliers, maybe. Makes me think about canceling Netflix. Nah, there's got to be a few good, older movies on there that I haven't already seen to justify $8 a month...

You must never have been wronged and wanted to get revenge.

I wish I could do some of that stuff to quite a few scumballs that have f88j73 me over in my life. Yea, the judge revenge was great.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

That's not it at all - I love a great revenge movie as much as the next person. I just couldn't buy into this story. It was too far beyond belief for me. Not one of the characters seemed real to me. I tend to like at least a little plausibility in my movies. I really couldn't find any in this one. The story just went too far beyond the realm of "it could happen".

If I had to watch it again, I'd cut my own limbs off.

I also finally just watched this, enjoyed it a lot but agree with most other comments - Foxx SUCKS (although I loved "Ray") and teh ending was lame. I hate when a film sets someone up as "invincible" and one step ahead of everyone else, and then has him fall for a stupid and simple ruse. No way that character doesn't have a failsafe to defuse the bomb, get out of his cell, etc.
    agreed on all points

I know this is an old post, but:

Did he only learn his killing skills over that 10 year span, or was he a killing machine (or a machine using killer) from the very beginning? If the first, that's far fetched to go from common housedad to vicious world-reknown CIA killer. If the latter, why would a badass like that not have a basic security setup at his house?

Pretty sure it was the latter. As far as a security system goes...he opened the door for them...not much you can do at that point.

Also, how would Gerard not be able to testify against the real killer? The guy that hits someone on the head with a bat gets the death penalty, the guy that stabbed, raped and killed people gets 3 years?

If I recall, it says he did, but since he got hit on the head and stabbed, they couldn't count on his testimony.

I too wish it would've ended different. The only part I didnt really find believable was the ending. There's no way he's not going to have some type of security system and/or better way to hide the entrance in his tunnels.

I thought Jamie Foxx displayed his usual poor acting skills and scrunched up Renee' Zellweger face a dozen times. I actually wanted the ending to be the opposite of the actual ending but that's just me. It was ok and I'm glad I have Netflix.
Eye to eye, brother. This pretty much sums up what I was going to say about the movie.
