I see LoMo has just posted a thread reviewing this very movie. Makes one wonder if he bothers to check for other reviews before posting his. I'm guessing no as he seems to do it all the time.

Anyway, go help him inflate his ego as he seems to have a need for that.

Seriously, Patrick doesn't get it. Anyone who wants things to change needs to file a report against Mike's threads. If enough people do it, maybe Patrick will finally understand what the problem is and stop acting against those of us who want Mike to follow common forum etiquette and participate in the existing threads.

It looks like Blockbuster has mailed this one to me and I should have it today or tomorrow. I will start a new thread with my impressions and thoughts sometime next week (just depends on how long it will take me to get it all written).

If he wants to have an individual thread, he may do so....no amount of reporting changes that. It has less to do with Patrick "getting it" than it does with it not being a violation. I just blindly charge into movies without reviews so I can be very angry at the outcome...or pleasantly surprised.

I fully agree with you Mark. But, telling him that he could use existing threads is not a violation either, so those posts should not be removed.

P.S. Blue looks much better. Less intimidating.

I don't know about the rest, but I particularly want nothing from you (I mean on this subject.....you know I want you).

Why do you have to get involved? Is someone reporting something? Unless some rules are broken, tell them not to complain for nothing. Someone sooner or later will get tired.

Well, he's not breaking any rules, so tell those that are reporting him to stop, or else.

What I want you do is tell him to stop cluttering up the forum in an attempt to make it his own personal review site. He has other forums that he posts on that are actually set up for individual user reviews, whereas this one is not.

I know it's not in the rules per se, but it is considered common forum etiquette. At a certain point, that should matter, and as his behavior causes such discontent, it's up to the moderators to handle it. Regardless, I will always redirect people to the existing thread if Mike posts (no matter how many times it's removed), because I think his refusal to join in the existing conversations lends him an air of superiority (which is why he is so poorly received here).

I had a three way with her and Mikey Mike, I am sure the indepth review will be forthcoming as he watched intently, then pissed his pants, though he seemed overly thrilled watching my ****.

I usually dig Kingsly as an actor so I am looking forward to this one on the HT. The B&K I got from the dorko one has certainly kicked things up a notch.

I thought Jamie Foxx displayed his usual poor acting skills and scrunched up Renee' Zellweger face a dozen times. I actually wanted the ending to be the opposite of the actual ending but that's just me. It was ok and I'm glad I have Netflix.

I finally got around to watching this one...and damn...I agree with Mark. Oh there were some ok moments...but not enough to make this a really good movie. Rental at best.

Jamie Foxx and good actor are 4 words that should never be used in the same sentence unless the word not is also included.

I was actually hoping that Butler would eventually blow up all of Philly and take Foxx with it. Then I would have moved it up a notch for maybe a thumbs up.

PS: I was going to start my very own thread and ignore all of the existing ones...but this movie just wasn't worthy of another thread.

I also finally just watched this, enjoyed it a lot but agree with most other comments - Foxx SUCKS (although I loved "Ray") and teh ending was lame. I hate when a film sets someone up as "invincible" and one step ahead of everyone else, and then has him fall for a stupid and simple ruse. No way that character doesn't have a failsafe to defuse the bomb, get out of his cell, etc.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

damn, so many spoilers in this thread w/o warning. so i'll interject my own.

LOVED THE MOVIE. and i see how he's trying to point out flaws and change the system. but killing "innocents" in the legal system...that's too fuggin' backassward for me. i was actually glad to see his demise in the end...that is, only after he got most of his retribution.

i must be getting older. same sentiments with "Kick ****". something about a little girl saying cun* just turns me off. i mean hey, i get slapped when i say it. why does she get to get away with it? because she's a super-hero? hero is in the eye of the beholder. i'm a super-hero. yet i still get slapped for using the word...

i'm out. gotta go take my prilosec.
