Repainting Room What Color

So when I got my room when I was around 14 I was able to choose what color I wanted everything. For some stupid reason I picked like a green color for both my walls and floor. This coming weekend I want to repaint it but have no idea what will go with the green carpet. Any ideas are welcome.

I would do one wall with this idea, a color under it with the main paint rag off. The color under could be lighter, or darker your choice but I think a lighter color would be better... Just my $.02

Well this coming weekend I am going to play around with some colors and hope to have it all done whatever I decide. So I will try different things. Also on a tight budget.

black screen wall and ceiling, dark coffee/tan color on remaining walls, or navy blue.

yeah Im keeping that into account as well. Or you can try black screen wall, with some other darker greens. Also consider some different shades of beige.

Well after going to the store and looking at the 1000's of colors. I cam back with a few sample cans and painted a few lines on the walls. I think I am going to go with this mountain river blue, and may to a half and half with this summers end green.

Here are the colors.

Deeper blue


This is much deeper green in person I am not sure why it looks so brown

^ lol. I think the deeper blue with black screen wall would look awesome. Black screen wall would give you more image depth as well.

Not sure if it's your camera or my monitor but your OP looked like a pastel blue walls and a battleship grey color carpet. Take some pics when you're done, as your color chips are off as well.

One more thing, I hope you budgeted in some money for speaker wire for your surrounds.:p

Sound advice hurrrrrrrr...

I have white walls, white ceiling, and a light cream colored carpet. I like it. I chose to subdue it with the darker furniture and audio/video racks and gear. Oh, and soon to be dark colored contrasting room treatments.
