Got my first one last friday night. My girlfriend and I spent the weekend in San Diego down in the Gas Lamp District and thanks to a bar tender at a pub we were in hooked us up. Knowing my love for all things tropical I had a deep green Hibiscus flower about 3" put on my upper calf just below the knee on my left leg. It looks fantastic. She got a much bigger one across the top of her foot with other flowerly stuff going up above her ankle. It was a total blast and I am hooked. I wanna add a sea turtle, a tiki mask and a mechanical bird for the Tiki Room at Disneyland.

Awesome tattoo. Its life changing. You feel like a completely different person right after its done. Its hard to explain if you've never got one. I just still have the one. But I've had the water colored in. I'll have to post an updated pic when I get a chance.

Figured I would revive an old thread. Got my first tattoo and had a buddy who is an art professor help me design it. Always wanted something to honor my family and remind me of my priorities. The Tree of Life has always appealed to me. My wife has a tattoo of an acorn with a shadow of an oak tree so wanted to incorporate the acorn. Her initial J is on the trunk to symbolize stability and strength since she is the one taking care of the family most of the time and my kids initials M and C under the branches to represent the "fruit". Symbolic and something that means a lot to me. But thought I would share.

Can you get it so the scales actually glitter instead of those little circles around them ? Or is the fish draped in pearls ?

Not my first but the latest. .....

Artist is Ron Givens. Started a couple weeks ago when I was in Reno. I drove over to Redding CA to the shop he is working at (Tattoz Ink) Got 4.5 hours of it done while I was there and took another 2 hours to complete while doing a guest spot at Clint Cumming's Sparrow's Tattoo Company.
