Can you do that tattoo with her mouth open? Use your belly button as the mouth, and do the rest of it around it.

Everything in moderation. I think that chick from 'L.A. Ink' would have looked good, if she'd chilled a little bit. Such a waste of a perfectly good P.O.A.

    That's not always true.

If you're prone to keloids, your tattoos will be somewhat 3D.

Got my first one last friday night. My girlfriend and I spent the weekend in San Diego down in the Gas Lamp District and thanks to a bar tender at a pub we were in hooked us up. Knowing my love for all things tropical I had a deep green Hibiscus flower about 3" put on my upper calf just below the knee on my left leg. It looks fantastic. She got a much bigger one across the top of her foot with other flowerly stuff going up above her ankle. It was a total blast and I am hooked. I wanna add a sea turtle, a tiki mask and a mechanical bird for the Tiki Room at Disneyland.

I've been thinking about getting 2 tattoos for quite a while...I want to start simple and "classic" and get a kid's name on each of my arms.

Anyone know an "average" cost for something simple like black and white letters? Want to make sure I don't get completely ripped off.

I only have one small tattoo but have been wanting to get more ever since. The problem is, I can't think of what I want! Every idea I have I never have the money for and by time I have the money, I'm over the idea so I guess it's saving me from getting ink just for the sake of having ink.

My first and probably the most Nerd tat here.

    From Beavis and Butthead 1994

Butt-Head: Hey Beavis. I bet when we get that reward money, we can like, see that movie about stiffies, and we can like, pay for our own tattoos.
Beavis: Yeah! Then we'll be cool.
    Butt-Head: I'll get a tattoo of a butt.
Beavis: I'll get a tattoo of a butt *on* my butt!
    Butt-Head: Oh yeah?
    Beavis: Yeah!
Butt-Head: Well I'll get a tattoo of a butt that has a butt-shaped tattoo on it, and I'll get it right on my butt! That would be cool.
Beavis: [briefly pauses] Yeah, me too.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.
