Nice speakers, though I bet they sound like crap in that room where the video starts._________________________________________________

I appreciate fine craftsmanship. I wonder if they would make a set of custom SDA SRS 1.2TL's for me?Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country!

They even sound good on my stock dell computer speakers.

Nice,
Lots of craftsmanship!Vinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
Wow! Cool Factor is off the chart.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:

Damn the French, I only give the Italians the nod for fine craftsmanship. Besides, my girl and my dog would fall over from a heart-attack if they walked in and saw those beasts towering over them.
-
I'd love to have a pair of those.

I'd have to reinforce the floor under my listening room."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Hello DK,
Maybe they could build the SDA cabinet in that "falling-over-stack-of-pineapple-slices" look?

You can easily buy some of their speakers for less than $1,000 in near mint condition on AudiogoN. I might get around to a pair of these at some point, but it would probably have to be towers, maybe the Electra series, which, although pricey and quite beautiful, is nowhere even remotely close to the price of Grande Utopia ... we'll see.Alea jacta est! -
I just showed them to my wife and she walked away shaking her head then I asked to to get me a beer and she kept walking, women

Just get a pair of Mini Utopias! $2000 used with stands and plenty of WAF.
My wife's philosophy is "Get whatever you want, but they're still ugly". Especially true with the pair of WATTs I was recently eyeing. It's weird how she just can't see why Wilsons are attractive... -

Totally agree. The Electra series is direct trickle-down from the Utopia and can be great value for the money. Plus they're not as heavy...
