We just got out of the emergency room after being there for 3 hours and got some really bad news. My girlfriend has not been feeling well the past few weeks and today when I finally got home I noticed that her ankles has swelled up and basically looked puffy all over. so we went to the emergency room. They did a scan of her mid-section and found a 30lb or more tumor. since they're is nothing they can do tonight they released her and she will have to undergo surgery in the next few days and they will remove it and see if its benign, also she will have to have a complete hysterectomy. To make matters worse she just lost her mom to breast cancer 9 months ago. I am praying that it is benigh, got to go

thanks

Prayers sent for your gf. My gf is a cancer survivor, and is the local chair for relay for life (american cancer society). Her mom lost the battle. If your gf wants to talk to my gf (also hysterectomy) just let me know, she would be more than happy to do what she can.

Keep the faith. Remember ER docs go to the extreme and once a surgeon has had a chance to look things over it may not be so drastic.

I had a lacerated spleen and the ER doc thought my surgeon should have removed it. I am glad they did not.

Based on the description, I would think there's a good chance that it's benign.

We'll still keep you, and her, in our prayers, of course! The waiting is the hardest part.
