This doesn't make sense to me -- you suggest I be the adult and ignore all this, but there's NO course of action for those who begin the problems?

What do you want, them to be banned for teasing you a bit? Get over yourself. You make a hell of a first impression Mikey. Yes I'm suggesting you ignore it. Take it from someone who has a hard time ignoring it when he's in your place; it ain't worth it.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Again: It was in response to 'Knuck's "Un Professional" reference in HIS thread title because that was ONLY to poke "fun" at my work. And no, I am not insulting the whole mass here. I have explained this.

Well, if you don't like someone else thread and review, you just skip ahead. There is no need to make a response thread like this or even if you make a thread in response, you would think an appropriate way to name a thread.

If anyone doesn't like your very un-professional reviews, you just tell them to go to hell and skip your reviews. So, why don't you exercise your own preaching?

    Ricardo wrote: »
Totally unfair if you ask me. Just for the title, this one should have been closed even faster.

    +1. My sentiment exactly.

Mike, I've not seen the movie, but due to my past history of movies, it is one that I'm likely to see at some point. Getting into the details from a person not related to the movie or the making of it helps me to know what I could expect.
Sometimes i agree with you opinions, sometimes not. Doesn't matter to me though.

But your threads usually develop into a ball of smoking hatred.... Mostly from guys that seem pretty nice in most every other thread. Actually, I've yet to run across any real ****$holes here at CP... Well, there was Slowpolk or whatever... But other than that...

So I don't really know what the deal is, but here is a little educational read for you or anyone else that has any opinion of these "Review" threads, love 'em or hate 'em:

Are you saying you are going to PURPOSELY enter my threads and harass? If so, I am not the one who is going to have problems.

    I never do that

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa....oh my God...

UNFAIR that a MOCKING thread was closed? Wow. Truly extraordinary.

Right; this one doesn't have the intention of mocking anyone:rolleyes:

Just for the record, AFIK, no, he doesn't ever do that.

Advice from Ricardo and Bobman regarding the social niceties of CP (and how to become a useful, contributing member, even after what might be described as a "very shaky start"), as well as some of the others who have been trying to help out, is very good advice IMO.

The reasons I know you're Onkyofanatic are by your mannerisms. The way you overly "thank" anyone who responds with anything but spite to your posts. The excessive use of :) in such instances. The format of your reviews may be standard, so that is not what I'm drawing from.

It's the way you flake out to anything that isn't a "please sir, can I have some more". If you're not one and the same, you're definitely kindred spirits.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Congratulations; but my point is that you never would have begun those threads with those titles if there wasn't a REASON to, such as mocking those of mine which previously had "professional" stapled to them -- now that I have eliminated that reference, I would appreciate if all hostilities and nonsense would just end.

He never would have started those threads with "unprofessional" in the title if you had posted your reviews in the existing threads.

Did you REALLY have THAT much time on your hands that you needed to begin a new thread mocking the entire review I wrote and posted? MY GOD...you are truly amazing; I see Patrick took care of the ridiculous **** that has been weaved over all this.

    Thanks, Pat.
It was worth the five minutes it took me to mockingly illustrate how ridiculous it is that you and you alone get to make your own thread where one already exists.

You say "We can have two threads begun of the same film -- that's absolutely no problem." Well, where does that double standard end? You make your own thread, I make my own thread, someone else makes their own... all providing the same value, regardless of length or format. No one here is more or less important than everyone else. And your continued insistence that you should be allowed to create your own thread simply because you have a different take on it is a perfect example of your pretentiousness. EVERYONE has a different take on it. It's called an OPINION. But that doesn't mean there needs to be two threads - MIKE'S THREAD AND EVERYONE ELSE'S. You're not better than us... and your reviews are perfectly at home in the existing thread with the rest of our opinions.

But hey, what do I know? I've only been a member here for like 8 years.

Sorry for coming back here, but you are making an excellent point with the words I highlighted. There are no your threads or my threads; they are all internet threads, open to anyone that feels like making a comment, be it of your liking or not.

There is a style to doing these; a correct method of breakdown and approach, with a technical analysis at the closing on the specs of the discs.

I'll bet your sock drawer is neat and tidy too.

I've gotta tell ya Mikey, after reading a bunch of your reviews and the responses you give to anyone who doesn't inflate your ego, you've got serious issues.

    And the list grows.

And what's wrong with that? Huh? Doesn't everyone iron their socks carefully and then fold them neatly, in tidy rows, labelled by date of insertion to allow for future FIFO selection procedures?

I stopped wearing socks when I realized they were causing dialogue intelligibility problems. Of course, later I learned that you're supposed to wear them ON YOUR FEET... but by then, I was saving so much space by not having a sock drawer that I just couldn't bother. ;)

UN-PROFESSIONAL MOVIE REVIEW: LIGHTMAN vs the KRAKEN: 2 thumbs up! A must see! Action packed and hard hitting, LIGHTMAN, cast in the role of our unlikely hero, calls on all of his strength and ....um, wits to take on the all-powerful: KRAKEN!!!! VIDEO: Black and White, with a super 8 mm cinematic touch of excellance. AUDIO: Shot completely in Norf Kackalacky, producers felt US audience's might have trouble with the regions dialect.... good call! Subtitles, although all expletives, hold the viewers attention throughout this blockbuster.

RECOMMENDATION: 5 STARS! If you love action, LIGHTMAN vs the KRAKEN delivers, (especially the shower scene...) DONT MISS IT!:p

    ^^^^^^THAT is Funny!
Making that movie took a lot out of me...It almost strained what liitle soul I had left to put the emotions to film. If it weren't for Mr. Kracken helping me reach inside to the darkest depths of my heart, this movie wouldn't have been what it is today...

I've seen that movie... and it wasn't the depths of your HEART that the Kraken was reaching into! And honestly, why did the Kraken have to come inside to get that drink of water? He could've drank from the hose! (cue **** music)

Wait, maybe I'm talking about a different movie. ;)

Are you guys really still here? Haven't we learned anything yet about this guy mikey? I stopped posting in his absurd threads weeks ago. While I do get a kick out of the drama he causes, it really just shows his complete lack of maturity.

I say you all just laugh at him and walk away. What else do you do to the guy stuck on himself who has to have his ego stroked at all times?

    Cheers!
