Ok......the lesson here is if you don't ask, you won't likely get what you want.......

I'm buying a place (will talk about this later in another thread), but am buying all the appliances separately instead of having the builder add them onto the mortgage because I ultimately want to give the finger to the morons that I've been dealing with (long story), so I called up Best Buy looking for their prices on a few things and they said they'll match all prices etc etc. I told him I found a few really good deals on things online and asked if they would match web pricing as well. He said they would?!?!

SO.....I'm bought GE Appliances and a few LG Washer/Dryer Bases:

GE Profile Dual Fuel free standing range
    GE Profile above stove Microwave
    GE Profile Dishwasher
    LG Washer and Dryer base

    Total for everything was $3850ish.....

All in all, just off MSRP I saved $995, another $300ish in tax. and got $300 in gift cards, plus another $200 from GE rebates on top of that.

    GREAT DAY!!!!!!

(ask to match online pricing......you might be surprised at the answer)

I'm surprised! My best buy wouldn't price match online items. They are great with matching other local stores though!

Last time I bought stuff at BB (about $2,500 worth for two appliances), I had to get them to price match themselves!

The prices were the same, but by ordering online, I got free shipping, whereas the store wanted to charge for delivery. I only went to the store to check the stuff out before ordering, but since the guy was there answering questions, I thought I'd just save myself the trouble. He ended up having to call a manager so that they could charge me $0.01 shipping to price match the internet conditions! I was starting to regret the whole thing since it took forever. Then next day, the credit card company called to check the transaction was authorized, since the guy had keyed the numbers in manually instead of swiping.
    Alea jacta est!
