fast-acting compressor can be utilized so that when set to attenuate the high frequencies present in sibilant sounds.

Correct. Not often found in a home rig though
What in the hell are you talking about?

Search engine. Google is one. You may learn.

Good, but too far advanced for club polk comprehension.
Again, jvc...what in the hell are you talking about?

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Somehow I don't think that is going to fix his sibilence problem.

    Think again.

just saying if the sibilance is part of the original recorded material then that condition would appear on any playback system that is used.
The recording engineering would use compression to minimize that undesirable effect.

    Correct.

vocal sibilance in recording is in the ~ 6khz range.

if due to the playback system then a spectrum analysis could be use to re-tune.
    - tone shaping to minimize the sibilance .
    - digital plugin

Correct again. Still too far advanced for this forum. Many here do not want to learn.
I have to agree with the Knucklehead on this one. My PC as a source has a lot more "sibilance" than any other source - especially if streaming from an online radio station.....

lowering the 6khz slider in my player did make an improvement

Bing Bing! We have a winner here. You tried it! Congratulations!

I don't mean to burst your bubble here, but some guys on this forum have owned amps, much higher in value than the 30k for that car, that apparently, we are supposed to be impressed with.
If you hurry, I'm sure it qualifies for the CARS program.....

Some of the points made by jvc, then backed up by yourself, are valid. But you came in like an ****. If you're trying to get someone to see your POV, insulting them probably won't win you any points. Try showing the level of respect that you would want for yourself, if you already have, then god help you.

Thanks for your input. I toss back what I get. I also own amps much higher in value than the car as well. Forgive me if I do not "hurry" for the cars program. I have no need of it at this time.

Of course, It's all right for some to disrespect a poster who spoke the truth, such as JVC did. When you point at someone else, remember there are 3 fingers pointing back to you. I'm happy to show the same respect I receive.
