Cool, as long as we agree? How about making just ONE post about audio and knocking off the clown act?

Well, without looking at the Schematic or knowing what amp it is, it's hard to tell that you can combine the 4 x 22000uF/80V with the other 4 x 10000uF/50V. Since there are different ratings, they appears to be for different part of the circuits and the filter capacitance might not be 128,000uF for each channel. Having said that 4 x 22000uF for each channel alone means a mighty reserve for a good tight bass in the amp. For e.g, I have an amp which uses 2 x 50000uF/100V for each channel but voltage is actually measured at more than 80V for each rails (positive and negative). And then, there are smaller value caps with 150V (which has 134V measured voltage) used for Voltage Gain Stages.

I was told the small caps recharge quicker to assist the slower large caps

Aka bypass caps for the larger reservoir caps but why different voltage ratings? If what you said is true, I think the actual rails voltage may be less than the value of the smaller caps which is 50V.

I have no idea what this thread is about, and I don't think anybody else does either, so in that spirit here is a picture of a bunny with a pancake on it's head.

I really don't know, all I can say is what is written on them. These are elna caps(if that means anything)All the salesman told me was that all the caps are used for the power output.Remember now! this is 128.000uf total in each of the 3 channel amps,I'm bi-amping them using 2 of the 3 channels of each amp.

I finally know who Lord Vader is! It's Patrick C. That messy thread about the dead teenager that morphed into a pro/anti gun nightmare? Well, yesterday, LV turns up to try and stop the fighting:

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1099227&postcount=480

But ... it doesn't work, so, to save face and eliminate the evidence of defiance, Patrick C. turns up this morning, just hours later, and shuts the thread down using less "theatrical" methods!

    Coincidence? I think not!

Patrick C., you've been outed, dude!

P.S. I wonder if rskarvan had anything to do with it, since there were so many "pie" pictures turning up in it ...
