Am I to assume that you are foolish enough to call ME OUT? I do not need the power of STEREO to destroy you, for I have the power of the Dark Side as my ally.;) It will serve you well to learn to spell my name correctly, as I have a reputation for being intollerant of mistakes...:D

But, you are slightly more tolerant than the Emperor...correct? I've heard that he's really a hardass when it comes to spelling mistakes.

You'd do well to remember that Rubin. If the Emperor were to see that spelling error, it would be an instant force choke...no questions asked.:p

I was thinking about telling LV (can Polkies affectionately refer to him as Darth, or Darthie?) about the spelling of "intolerant", but I think I'll just stay low and not get noticed. I believe in the ultimate triumph of good over evil and all that jazz, but it's the ultimate part that I don't like: when is that going to be, for instance, and would it be in time for me to be saved from his wrath if he didn't appreciate me correcting his spelling?

I actually suspect that LV is really a good guy, but all that burnt itchy skin in that sticky plastic suit would be enough to make anyone short tempered and just a little bit mad, so he can spell it whatever way he sees fit IMO.

Kex... You will find that it is wise not to get on my bad side. Do you think it easy to type with mechanical hands? And the damn eyepieces on my mask have yet to come back from the optometrist. Perhaps it is because I choked the $hit out of the **** for getting the wrong lenses last time....

To your last point, yes I really am a nice guy, so long as you understand that I am the Master...

256000uF is only a number without what's the Voltage it's stored in it. If it's 1V, it's hardly lethal but if it's 50V or more, it can weld mild steel together.

Hi megasat, you got me curious so I checked.I have 2 power amps each with 128,000uf 4 caps@22,000uf/80v....4 caps@10,000uf/50v This is what is written on them.I'm not that familiar with electronics, so is this a large amount?I've also noticed that the glass fuses on the circut board have thick wires in them but I cant see their amperage rating. They each(amp) have a toriod power supply that measures about 5 inches in dia. and 4 inches tall.

Well, without looking at the Schematic or knowing what amp it is, it's hard to tell that you can combine the 4 x 22000uF/80V with the other 4 x 10000uF/50V. Since there are different ratings, they appears to be for different part of the circuits and the filter capacitance might not be 128,000uF for each channel. Having said that 4 x 22000uF for each channel alone means a mighty reserve for a good tight bass in the amp. For e.g, I have an amp which uses 2 x 50000uF/100V for each channel but voltage is actually measured at more than 80V for each rails (positive and negative). And then, there are smaller value caps with 150V (which has 134V measured voltage) used for Voltage Gain Stages.

    Mega,

I have a device that can ouput 50,000 volts, I can put it around your waste and choke your chicken for 7 seconds after which you will get up, call me bad names, but you will walk away.

these 8 caps are all on the same board,The output boards also have smaller caps. The power supply is 115/230v,don't know why.

I don't think the device RT1 mentioned is not related to Audio! It is known as Taser / Stun Guns used by police and law enforcement officers.

You gonna pay for it Ted! With your Soundlabs, that is.....
