This kid is a hero. People like this kid CHANGE things. If MLK didn't stand up for what he believed in, where would we be? What about Jesus Christ (if you believe in that)? Did I just compare a 17 year old stoner to Jesus Christ? You bet your **** I did.
What
If more people do not start taking a stand, we are going to be in a world of hurt. It is more important than ever to stand up for what we believe to be the right thing, whatever that might be.
The Alamo was taking a stand, this kid is just a loner
Thank you stoner kid. You took a stand. You made your point. The world
saw. The world thought. You made a difference. You are my hero.
How sad for you
WOW. You compared Jesus, and DR. King to this stupid kid.
Both of them died for their cause, and did great things.
Please slap and sterilize yourself.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Yeah, the kid was dumb in what he did. A seventeen year old sparking up in front of is whole class is certainly not going to change a thing as far as the laws are concerned, but will probably impact his near future in a negative way. That said, marijuana has been illegal for about 70 years or so here in america, and it's legal status hasn't changed a thing or stopped anyone from smoking it. Kind of like how prohibition worked (or didn't), if people want to do it they will. I would personally prefer to have the government regulate it (you'd have to be 21 like alcohol), tax it, and use the millions of dollars a year in tax revenue for something more beneficial such as education, or health care. Instead we have overcrowded prisons for people busted with weed, which costs taxpayers millions of dollars a year in upkeep. Just my 2 cents.:)
Ps. I don't smoke pot."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Just when I begin to think all hope is lost, someone like this kid comes around to prove me wrong. If more people do not start taking a stand, we are going to be in a world of hurt. It is more important than ever to stand up for what we believe to be the right thing, whatever that might be.
This kid is not going to have to worry about a "criminal record." I doubt this kid would be happy in some BS white collar job anyway. He will probably end up being a core member of NORML or doing something else that MATTERS.
Thank you stoner kid. You took a stand. You made your point. The world saw. The world thought. You made a difference. You are my hero.
EDIT: This is my first post in the forums and I didn't sign up to post this. I signed up to post something related to my new Polk purchase and saw this thread. I felt this was much more important that a petty question about speakers. Now, I'll post my speaker question :-) I'm looking forward to being a part of the community!
When they whip him brutally, press a crown of thorns into his head, make him carry his own 60 pound cross up a hill for miles, nail him to said cross, execute him in front of his friends, and then rises from the dead 3 days later I think everyone here will be cool with the Jesus comparison."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
