Have you tried the Milenium or the Revelator?

Im finding in that range of tweeters, the characteristics are very similar.
No I haven't. They look much more difficult to design a crossover around(for me) and I believe the 6600 has better off axis response, which was one of the most important points for me.

    Interesting.

I like certain things about the Revelator over the Milenium -- and vice versa...

But that Air Circ seems interesting. Isn't that the same tweeter SVS is using?

    MUAHAHHAAHAHA

These subs are incredibly LARGE. They are like a skinnier, upright larger almost in size...

But they seem to be a little more accurate than the largers - right off the bat.

Very nice, Trey! It has been a long journey for you to have those TOL setup. Congrats!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Looks great, but get those network boxes off your amps.

    Any reason why?

I have them about 1" off the top - they are not sitting directly on it.

My amps disperse heat out the sides, the tops do not get really hot..

    Thanks!

It's not due to heat. I can't imagine having the network boxes near a large transformer(not the toy:D) being a good thing. I placed mine by a large inductor and my floor noise went up considerably.

All you need now is a matching center and you'll have a "wall of sound".

interesting... Never thought about that --

I will see if I can re-position them somewhere else...

As you can see -- I am running out of room! :D

I have the subs crossed at 40hz --- about 10:30-11 oclock on the volume.

    Rocking out, fo sho.

Looks great Trey. How long are those speaker wires? Did you cut them? They look shorter than 8 ft.

    Thanks Ricardo.

    No they are 8 feet.

The beefy part of the cable I would bet it only 6 ft, if not less. There is a considerable amount of wire at the bi-wire split...

Right. bi-wire. I asked because I'd love to cut mine...just don't want to send them to MIT to have it done, and not sure what would the best way to do it either.

Im not sure how you could cut these...

Those speaker cables are literally a fortress... lol

Freaking couplers, boxes, heavy duty jackets - definitely something MIT would have to do.

The amps in the subs or the amps powering the mains?

The main amps are Odyssey Stratos Mono Extremes

The sub amps are Dayton Audio 500 watt

Very nice setup! I'm thoroughly jealous.

Did you have those subs custom made? I don't see them on Tyler Acoustics website.

Someday I plan on trying out some Tyler Acoustics...possibly some Linbrook Signatures. Those are some dead sexy speakers, and I've heard nothing but praise for them. That won't be for quite a few years though.

Are yours the ribbon mahogany finish? Looks great.

    Thanks Curt and Organ.

Yes, I had Ty custom make these. He makes a sub (not currently on his site) but it was way to big for what I wanted and more multi purpose...

These are probally better described as "bass modules" - they are calm and easy to integrate and FAST. Incredibly textured bass. Very similar to what I had with the D2 a while back.

But yeah, I gave Ty some footprint dimensions and the woofer I wanted and he knocked it out for me...

Mine is Rosewood. I'm not a big ribbon mahogany fan...

I highly recomend dual subs particularly in a stereo configuration. Once you do this - you will never go back.

Now if you are doing straight movies - then two in one box would be ok.

I chose the Excel woofer because I have heard no better pace, tone, and texture from one woofer.
