Thanks Sami. I haven't done much with linux in about 10 years!
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

Anyone able to play games on Windows 7? Everytime I try to play BF2 online, punkbuster kicks me out ("Disallowed program/driver").

I disabled EVGA Precision (their OC utility) and everything seems to work fine now. I guess PB didn't like the name precision... :)

Caused a first BSOD on 7 today...upgraded motherboard. Gives me a welcome screen with those flashing balls, then restarts. Automatic repair wouldn't fix it, we'll see if I can restore it without reinstall.

    Ubuntu start up fine.

Well, this is my gaming rig, no harm done even if it goes down. 7 would not boot even to safe mode, same BSOD. Repair mode it did boot into but it couldn't do much. Back into installing:

    1) Vista 32bit Ultimate
    2) Windows 7 RC 64 Ultimate
    3) Ubuntu 9.04 64 Desktop

Mine has been working pretty good so far. Still transferring all my crap from my other computer so I havent really put it thru its paces yet tho.

This thing was the easiest install I think Ive ever done. Maybe 4 clicks and it was off and running and took about 10 minutes to complete. So far I really like it and am pretty sure Ill be in line to pick one of these up when they hit the shelves.

Windows 7 is really going to be the name? And I thought it was just a code name.

Well today Microsoft offered Win 7 Home Premium upgrade pre-ordered for $50.00 plus tax and shipping so I ordered it because I just really like Win 7RC that I've been running. You can get it and several other version upgrades at the Microsoft Store.

If you are running x64 Win7 and go through update, the optional KB967355, labeled as a Test update is better avoided.
