I just purchase the CSI40 and i know you have gone over the mantis wiring before. Can you help me out?



Denon 3802 receiver
Denon DvD 1600 progressive scan
CSI40 center
RT1000 fronts
RT28i surrounds
FX300i Rear back surrounds
Velodyne CHT 10 sub
Velodyne CHT 12 sub
Mitsibishi 27" tele
Monster cables/ 10 ga speaker wire

    I doesn't apply to your speaker. You can ACTUALLY bi-wire it. How about that?

    Maybe i should re-phrase my question. I know you can bi-wire it but the instructions are a little vague on how to do it

    Take two lengths of speaker wire.

    Take the + from each and twist them together and stuff them into a banana plug and stick it into the Speaker A + in the receiver. Repeat for the negative side.

    Remove the brass jumper strap on the 40.

    Connect the two + and the two - to the same respective terminals on the 40. Use of banana plugs here is optional.

    Or, buy "bi-wire" wire and it's all pre-done.

    sorry I missed this thead.I'll give you some tips on what I would use if I owned your system.I used to own a system close to what you own.
    I'll start with bi wiring.As noted by another,equal lengths of equal wire to the speaker, remove the jumpers,positive to posite and negitive to negitive on the amp side....meaning both runs from the same amp channel.
    The easiest way to get the job done is to purchase bi wire premade cables.
    Here's what I would buy.
    Monstercable MCX Bi wires in the length you need.
    Monsterlock ends of your choice.Bananas are most popular and work.
    If your wallet is deep, go for monstercable M1.4s bi wires and monsterlocks.They cost alot more then the MCX series but perfomance is night and day.
    I would wire the front 3 in the same wire you choose.
