wether we like Bose or not, Im not sure we are supposed to be bashing another brand...with that being said, at a much lower price, Bose may not be a bad deal for what they give you. My system is very entry level and Ive had many people at my house for get togethers that tell me my system crushes their $2000 Bose system, i certainly didnt pay that for my system.

I have heard both the wave radio, and the acoustic wave (my parents had both in their home). Yes, they are waaaay overpriced but.....if anyone can find a comparably sized unit by any other maker that sounds nearly as impressive, I'll kiss your butt, and give you an hour to gather a crowd to watch me do it !!

Bose is a terrible deal, no matter the price. There are frequency ranges that are completely left out of the mix. I bought a setup of white van speakers for 65 dollars that completely blow away any Blose system I've ever heard.

As of right now, I have roughly 1000 dollars in my HT setup. I have complete confidence that it will completely and utterly annihilate any Bose setup on the face of the planet.

You approve of them ripping thousands of people off by deceiving them? They have these ridiculously expensive setups in the stores that make people think they're buying a truly great sounding product. People buy their product based on that demo. When they get home, and they don't have 50,000 dollars worth of equipment driving it, it sounds like crap.

    You approve of that?

i'm not saying deceptive marketing is the right thing to do, but the fact of the matter is that marketing is all about deception, if not at least trying to make your product look the best it possibly can. the kind of marketing i prefer is the "shoot-em-straight" kind like range rover commercials that say 75% of vehicles they've ever sold in the us are still on that road...i love that stuff. i just appreciate effective marketing, from my engineer's point of view...it's complicated i suppose

Well you know all those sub-prime mortgages? They were GREAT marketing until they blew up in our faces! Marketing with no substance...sorry man...you've got to have no morals to do that!

You've got to market something of 'value' or else you're just scum.
