They are sisters (Ann and Nancy Wilson) and if I'm not mistaken they are from the Northwest (Seattle - I think - definitely not a grunge band)

BTW - Ann Wilson (The dark haired one) was a BABE when she was young. Then she put on about a million pounds - but she could still sing! Nancy, the blond, stayed thin and married some really rich guy. Now there's a lesson for you!

Ok - got to answer this one by 5:00 this afternoon (after that I'll be traveling till Sun afternoon) so I won't make it too difficult: A two part question:

Who was the lead singer on Elvin Bishop's hit "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" and what big name group did he front for later in his career?

    Shack.

My very own private question. Thank you. I believe the answer is the Butterfield Blues Band, with Paul Butterfield.

    Next trivia question.

Brian Epstein signed the Beatles as his first band to manage. In mid 1962 he signed his second band. Name that band.

Anywho one more brain cell accounted for... ;)

OK y'all know I am a Bowie freak so here's a Bowie-related two parter... first part easy, second part not so...

    1. During his Ziggy tour who was the Spiders' lead guitarist; and

    2. What was the name of his first solo album?

    Yes and No...

"Love You 'Til Tuesday" was Bowie. May have phrased the question improperly, but looking for Mick's first solo effort. (Easier to be more explicit now...)

    Great answer though...

    Thank you, Tour.

In the Rolling Stones song, "Brown Sugar", they mention Sky Dog. Who, what or where does that refer to?

Probably drugs....everything was about drugs back then. Remember....Drugs, Sex and Rock and Roll. Well we've got the R&R and sex in this song, so it must be drugs.

Guys, it's near the beginning of the song and it's got nothing to do with drugs.

F1, I hate to do this to you. I got out "Sticky Fingers" and gave it a listen to see if I could figure it out. (I reasoned that listening to one's own CD is not cheating in the spirit of this thread as has been alluded to earlier). The word/phrase "Sky Dog" does not exist on this song. What you may be hearing is "Scarred Old Slaver". Here are the complete lyrics:

Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields
Sold in the market down in New Orleans
Scarred old slaver knows he's doing alright
Hear him whip the women just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good
Brown sugar just like a young girl should- ah hum oh..
    Woo!

Drums beating, cold English blood runs hot
Lady of the house wonderin' where it's gonna stop
House boy knows that he's doing alright
You shoulda heard him just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good, now?
Brown sugar just like a young girl should, now - yeah!

Ah, get it on brown sugar, how come you taste so good, babe?
Ah, got me feelin' now for brown sugar, just like a black girl should yeah

Now I bet your mama was a tent show queen
And all here boyfriends were sweet sixteen
I'm no schoolboy but I know what I like
You shoulda heard me just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good, babe?
Ah, brown sugar just like a young girl should, yeah

I said yeah, yeah, yeah, woo!
How come you...how come you taste so good?
    Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo!
Just like a...just like a black girl should
    Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo!

    OOPS!!!

I have a Japanese copy of this on CD and after reading your post, Shack, I went looking for it to see if the words might be there. Quess what, they are and you are correct. All these years gone by and I thought Mick was saying Sky Dog. I do feel foolish, could have been the drugs all those years ago ;) In any event, thank you for pointing that out.

I should probably bow out as gracefully as possible at this point seeing as how my question was erroneous. I will give Shack the ball for his distinguished efforts. If I ever get the ball again, I will be 100% sure of my question and it's answer.
