I love puppies, do you?

Digitalvideo-You explicitly said that the Crutchfield CSR told you that the ONLY difference between the different AQ HDMI cables was cosmetic. Simply different jackets. You took this for fact.
You have been shown multiple times now, just how incorrect this is. The 6.1% Silver is NOT a cosmetic difference. It's an internal component of the cable itself, which could, in theory, alter the performance of said cable. You mentioned the outer coating of the cable, and how it's the same on all of them. It's UL-3 rated insulation. It's the same on every UL-3 rated cable in the world. It carries the same rating, because it's the same insulation. You do realize that the outer insulation isn't conducting the signal correct?
You're still saying that the only differences in the cables are cosmetic, despite the fact that Audioquests own website proves this wrong. The CSR you spoke with was wrong, that's all there is to it. I don't know why you're still trying to convince everyone that you're correct.
No one here is saying that these cables will provide better performance. Not one, single person in this entire thread has said this. Aside from being beneficial over longer runs, there probably is absolutely no difference. That's not what's being debated now. The fact that the CSR was wrong is what's being debated.
You've been proven wrong on that point. Kindly accept that fact and move along. The nirvana inducer-

Both 'honest' companies that you mention, Blue Jeans and Monoprice, sell hdmi cables that contain silver specifically for enhancing longer length run performance.
You just proved my point. Bluejeans, Monoprice both use silver, "BUT THEY ALSO SELL THEM FOR $350 DOLLARS LESS." duh! You're so stupid you can't even comprehend what this whole thread is about. So pay $400+ dollars for a HDMI cable that has the same internals as a $40 dollar cable with the same internals, same wall thickness (even though the Bluejeans cable is CM rated which is higher rating than AQ's CL3) -
I love companies like Bluejeans, Monoprice, Oppo, Polk that make products that are on par/equal or better to companies that make products hundreds if not thousands of dollars more.
To defend AQ's HDMI cable division is like defending Monster's, when a company scams consumers and over charges they deserved to be prosecuted. It's sort of like why Carver was forced to leave so many of his companies and start up Sunfire, once a company gets too big the board room takes over and puts profit over quality. Let's hope Carver at Sunfire won't go down the AudioQuest/Monster route. -
NOBODY IS ARGUING THAT HIGH PRICED HDMI CABLES ARE A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you even reading any of these posts!?!? Everyone agrees with you that these cables are much to expensive, and that you could get something every bit as nice for much less.
Some people are perfectly willing to pay that much simply to have the name Audioquest on their cables. If they think it makes a difference, let them. Why is it bothering you so much?
Once again...
NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THIS THREAD IS ARGUING ABOUT THE OVERPRICED HDMI CABLES!!!! WE ALL AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now quit arguing with yourself. The nirvana inducer-

This whole thread was about a pointless rant you came up with based on false and misleading statements in your original post. Lol, I think everyone but you realizes this by now... -
You also like poking the hornet's nest and getting a rise out of people for no other reason than to cause trouble. ...that's about all this thread is to you...

REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
Hi Everybody.
I just finished reading this thread. Took me 45 minutes. I was going to watch "Saving Private Ryan", but the battle scenes on this thread are better than those in the movie.
And yes, there are protracted wars on other Foums. But this is the first war I've seen where all sides are in agreement: No matter what the price, HDMI is HDMI.
I guess everybody went to sleep. I hope the war continues tomorrow. Should I wear my steel helmet and flac jacket?

Well you must have missed my post just before yours. HDMI isn't HDMI when it comes to longer runs and especially when it comes to fiber optics vs copper.
There are definite bandwidth limitations with copper that become more pronounced when lengths are increased.
Careful, last time mantis, okiepolkie, and I had a constructive conversation about copper and its alternatives for HDMI, the OP flame bombed his own thread. He either doesn't understand or doesn't care about actual conversations that help people improve the performance of their system. He's just in this to incite and flame at this point. While it was entertaining at times to see how tortured he could be, getting all his facts wrong, I think I agree with others here that this thread is long since dead. Best of luck if you want to continue to spin around in circles with him. I'm out...although this is the first time I've heard of fiber for hdmi...interesting...maybe you should start a separate thread on it, especially if this is something available for average consumers at a reasonable price...no point in discussing it here. -

I went to the pound to get a puppy, I had a hard time choosing what type of puppy to get. The guy at the pound told me that all puppies were the same so don't worry about it just get the cheapest one they had.
I then looked around and found out that some puppies had better insides. They didn't **** as much as other puppies and could run longer distances than some of the cheaper puppies. I didn't like running anyway so I got a cheap puppy.
PS: The wife promised to clean up all the extra ****._____________________________________________

The title change was an improvement, although the Mod might have added a few extra words to say, "I love puppies and hate over-priced HDMI cables, do you?"
I think that most would be happy with that.

That's what I thought when I spent about 30 minutes reading this thread last night. -
I did learn some things as I read, though. Some of them were useful.

Yes, and the Sharks managed to lose their way into winning the President's Trophy. I have a feeling my playoff beard will be short-lived this year.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

The funny thing is most people are concerned about the cute animals. Like dolphins for instance. Everybody is concerned abut the dolphins caught in the tuna nets. What about the tuna caught in the tuna nets? EF them is what I hear.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com.
