Good luck scott, one problem though saturdays suck because the banks are closed and they can't truely get you approved until monday unless your credit is tip top, they will let ya take er home upon approval.. I have known a few people that were "approved" and a few days later had to return the vehicle cause the bank said no, So be careful, Good Luck again and let me know what ya find..

If you are looking at an Xterra, then you should also take a look at the Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute. I test drove EVERYTHING under $35,000, and ended up buying the Tribute. I felt that the Xterra had apoor ride on normal roads. If I was driving off-road all the time, I would have considered it.
The only one that came close to the Tribute was the Jeep Liberty, but it was too much of a pain for my short wife to climb in to:)
Nothing against you Xterra owners here, but most of the people I know who have had one over a year, don't like it anymore, mainly because the novelty wears off, and they begin to notice the poor ride.
Me, I'll stick to my Tribute. Plenty of power, rides nice, and has 4x4 action if needed:)

    Shep

P.S.- I'll post a pic in the next few days.

steve thats amazing that those little things have so much power, I don't think it looks thats bad, Not my style but so what, enjoy it man, Far as my Xterra we have wanted one for a few years and yes the ride isn't like a car but we just like the whole truck, looks and feel, feels tough and sturdy... we wanted a mid sized SUV, Not small and not huge.. this fit the bill and the pocket for us, we actually never considered much else.. we will be keeping this past a year also....

Yea, the Xterra or a BMW X5 would be more than likely the only two SUVs that I would buy.

I'd prefer the X5, but beggers can't be choosers... hahhaa
