Just ordered the new JVC RS10. I've seen the new models in action a few times and they throw a stunning image. Just ordered one with the calibration service and should have it here in a few days. So excited.

Seen one in action last week at Flanner's( local hifi shop). Very nice picture. They had 6 projectors side by side throwing some nice images. I very impressed with the JVC and the Sony. ( don't recall which model Sony).

I wish I would've kept my projector instead of going LCD, but one thing I know is that JVC is well outside my budget.

Enjoy and give us a detailed review.

    Like a kid at Christmas

JVC has Class with the designs of the projector lineup.Piano Gloss Black and Gold

    IMG_0033.jpg

Auto lens cover opens/closes when PJ is turned on and off. I got to fire it up briefly yesterday and the PQ is very sharp and defined. I had this calibrated from AVS and image is amazing. Fade to blacks are breathtaking.

I will report back next week after viewing some more and try some screen caps. Definitely worth the price tag.

Excellent Projector. I hope you got a good deal on it as the Elite is at a very low price. Close in performance the 2 are.

Congrads man, looking forward to a review.

Based on reviews and seeing them first hand, I give the ever so slight edge to the RS10 and that would be due to sharpness of the image. All JVC's including the Kuro have oversaturated colors, the new JVC RS20 has CMS but it is somewhat limited in performance and will require firmware upgrade to get the most out of it. I tend to favor slightly saturated image so toning down color doesn't bother me at all. I'm not quite the videophile yet, as buying projectors can seem to get out of hand real fast, and things are not cheap in the least bit. Fade to Black to scenes and Contrast are very close, RS10 is rated at 32k:1 and Im very pleased with it. 3600 dollars laters, I can tell you I wont buy another for two yrs at least, even if it requires counseling.

Went to the local HIFI shop and checked out the JVC. That picture was outstanding, but it had a $7800.00 price tag.

Which projector did you see? Did you see the RS20/HD750 or the model I own the RS10/HD350. RS series is the pro line, HD series is the consumer line, both of which are the same in most ways. Regardless I can assure neither model goes for $7800, unless they are asking MSRP.

It was the RS10. Asked the guy the price and he said $7800 if I'm not mistaken. Really doesn't matter what matters is the picture quality oh my god. The blacks were outstanding.

They carry Sony, Epson, Pioneer and Jvc. The Jvc was alot better than the Sony's and Epson's. Can't wait to pick up my Pioneer.

    Congrats and Enjoy.

Oh yeah I've spent allot of time over the weekend with mine and the blacks are unreal. The Pioneer should be right on par with the RS10. RS10 is a little brighter, just a slight edge in black level. Pair it with a nice screen and you should be very happy with PQ. When are you planning to pick up the Kuro?

OMG! I can't even imagine what playing COD4 is like on that set-up, especially with the recent upgrades.

Ask Wingnut, we gamed together over weekend. Gameplay is awesome, its like being apart of the game since the screen is so big

Looks like some sort of collar/ adaptor to hold the cable in place on the wall plate?

No problem Obieone, speaker mounts are B-tech 77 wall mounts. They allow you to tilt the speakers roughly 7 degrees up or down and they are very nice mounts.

No, not the bt77's, but the wallplate connection. It looks like a single rca/ coax connection?

What an awesome performer this machine is. Spent the whole day in the HT room, watching movies/gaming. Excellent day to spend a Friday after work. Just makes you want to watch movies over and over again. The black level is unreal, fade to black scenes are spectacular. The JVC is plenty bright on my 126" screen, not overly bright as to hurt the eyes. Gaming has been a blast as one could expect on such a large screen. I think where this PJ shines is with sharpness and the way it does handle the hi def material. 1080p/24 appears very film-like as this PJ is able to provide allot of pop to the image. Loving the JVC's as my screen looks like a huge plasma mounted on the wall.

I did some rearranging today in the theater room, as I don't like clutter. Mainly in the rear of the room with the media library, game cataloging etc. Looks nice and neat, I can breathe easy now.

Looks fantastic. I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on an RS10 this week, but have only read the reviews. I should go try and find one in a store. A couple of friends have the Sony VW60 and I was planning to purchase that model, but the price increased at the store I was going to purchase it from. Have you happened to compare the two and / or know of an online review or comparison?

Any suggestions of where to purchase?

    Thanks and congratulations!
