I've been a member for quite a while and in fact some of my equipment i have is from posts on this forum. I'm not one to interact alot online thus my low number of posts. However now I want to sell my FX 500's and I know people who go to a "polk" forum would be interested in them. Hopefully this will be my 25th post and now i can post them for sale. LMFAO :)

So ... you're just a n00b trying to get your post count up so that you can flog your gear to unsuspecting fellow n00bs who aren't "wise" to current pricing ?!

P.S. I wonder if you have broken any records (average posts/day)!

This thread is too expensive. I found a cheaper thread on sale crashing over on another forum. The build date is a few weeks earlier, but it is essentially the same thread. The Polk forum is a rip-off.

it seems to me, as i am an actual newbe to home audio, that your not "cool" or not aloud to post anything, or you cant say anything intelligent, or cant sell anything or buy anything because i dont have 4,525,599 post online here. it seem that most, listen as i didnt say all, Most of the people on here that have 4 billion posts are **** to the people that only have 20 post. i do understand new people coming in and trying to sell something overpriced or just do something disrespectful, as they shouldnt be treated the same. but for all you 55,588,998,441 posters....... calm down on the new people. i mean this isnt some super cool, super elite forum that needs to be treated like Frat house with all the pledges (us "newbies") picking up ****, eating **** and doing all those dumb initiations required to be consided cool or part of the gang........... its just another f**king forum....

by the way everyone on here so far has been really nice to me.. so far ..... so this is nothing actually personal to me... just an outsider looking in as i do read alot of post... just to try to get educated alittle more on some home audio stuff

he says as tears of frustration roll down his face. brotha, if we werent super cool, you wouldnt care. I'm not bragging, I myself am flabergasted at this point truth be told.

I have a solution that involves multiple steps

    1) Go to a stuffed animal store
    2) buy a stuffed animal, a bear......perhaps a fluffy puppy?
    3) name it something cute, like "cuddles" or "fluffy"
    4) when the big mean internet folks call you a noob, hug that little bugger so tight and say the following words "oh cuddles, make the bad people go away" (substitute "fluffy" for "cuddles" if applicable)
    5) repeat step 4 as necessary to make you feel better about yourself.

of course, you can bypass all 5 steps by getting a self esteem and actually not caring about things so trivial. Man, I shudder to think how you actually deal with real adversity in life. You must the rock of gibralter in a clutch. of course by rock of gibralter I actually mean wad of playdough but hey....sometimes I'm sarcastic like that.

try to get a good night sleep there cupcake ;)

so let me make sure I got this right. the forum treated you well, and yet you say that its impossible for someone new to say anything? you realize that you must have....in fact.....did something you claimed to be impossible right?

your post makes no sense......in fact, we can possibly all be dumber for reading it. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

    Yes ... it is!
    is just another f**king forum....
    No ... it isn't!

Post count doesn't count BTW. Some people seem to know how to make themselves useful, and demonstrate a genuine interest in audio and learning what they don't know. They integrate quite rapidly. Others seem intent on demonstrating how little they know through futile attempts to show that they know more than anybody else here, including long time members, and have spent more on the most expensive audio gear than anybody in history (other than A.I.G., of course). They are quite terrifying in their attempts to change everyone else's opinion to agree with theirs, and almost invariably never integrate, even if they were to stick around for a hundred years.

JMO. If I did offend ... I'm sorry, but I was feeling bored.

Ummmm this is a super cool, elite forum. If you'd stick around for a while, which I doubt you will, you'd learn that. I browsed several other forums and NONE add up to the comradarie and family atmosphere that applies here. Many of these members are close friends and have crossed the country to meet in person.

What you seem to have an issue with, with your 13 whole post is you don't feel accepted. There are numerous members that have fewer than 100 posts that are embraced fully, but they didn't exert their assinine opinions about what they didn't/don't understand.

I believe Lou has enough balls for the both of you and if your weren't hiding behind a keyboard, and met him in person, you shiver and **** your pants and run home to mommy.

But see there, sport, it's not. It's our forum. We are here with like interests and we don't like dealing with the people outside of here that don't see this as our forum but rather as "just another f**cking forum".

    And if this:
by the way everyone on here so far has been really nice to me.. so far ..... so this is nothing actually personal to me...

is actually true, then I'm gonna go ahead and let you know that any goodwill that people might have had towards you, you just dumped on a bit. The drag about that is that previous to this post, nobody knew...or cared...who you were and you could have jumped in the fray anonymously and blended seamlessly and alleviated n00b status quite quickly.

But instead you chose to tell us all that we are not ok but you are ok. That right there makes you stick out and for all the wrong reasons. That's a "great" way to win friends and influence people.

Nobody is saying that this is a frat house or that there is an initiation. There is no initiation. You only get the beans when you act like a jerk. Quit acting like a jerk and participate instead of forcing yourself on everyone with your outsider opinions and you won't have problems.

Yeah, there is tough love here but that's because most people have been here for several years, some are on a decade. They've seen quite a few come and go, they recognize patterns and who fits you know what? 90% of the time, they tend to be right. But what's more is the "they" part of it. They KNOW each other. This isn't a bunch of random people anymore. It's not a club or a clique. It's a bunch of people that call each other friend. They get together and hang out for no other reason but to hang out. These aren't names on the Internet for most here. They are real people with a face, a name, a life. They can mouth off at each other and get away with it because they have a pretty good idea who they are who each other is. If you come in here expecting that, then you're gonna be disappointed. Expect some common decency and respect, you'll get that. Don't afford others any and they won't give that to you.

You will get met with cynicism and trepidation because nobody KNOWS you here and no one who is known has vouched for you. If you think that stinks, the next time you're with your buddies at the bar and some tool saunters up and asks to be friends with all of you, see how you feel. Especially when you let him sit down and the first thing he does is make comments on the type of beer you like and call you a bunch of girls for it. Then you can come back here and tell us that we're over reacting.

I don't know what's so hard to get?

The problem is new guys are an unknown. Some are very experienced, some aren't.
And a number of guys joined and starting telling senoir members all about how
wrong they were. It's not new guys, it's know it all new guys. The older members
pretty much have seen or heard it all before.
Are all the old hands all knowing? No. But most have been there and done
that. As always, read, learn, try, then post. Not insult everyone's
intelligence, and be surprized when it turns ugly.

it seems though that you got your little baby feelings hurt when you read my post and decided that you had to do something about it.... has it all went as you pictured??

by the way you by far have the best joke in here... and its prolly in your pants between your legs..

    i think he has babydickidas

Wow. Dude, you bring a whole new level of suck to the table, you know that?

BTW, Lou is an ex football lineman. He also practices martial arts. I could probably tell him the stuff you are spouting off about and live but, you certainly wouldn't. He'd stomp a mudhole in you big enough for me to park my truck in.
