snow: Yeah, stuff it. You're offbase and running your mouth about me, something you know nothing about. So yeah, stuff it. No growing up is needed. I know who I am and I know where I stand and it obviously doesn't jive with your fragile little world. Calling me names, telling me I need to grow up and laughing at me will not change my mind or point of view so again, stuff it. When you can come up with a more substantial argument that's not based on what you want to see but in actually what I've tried to say, I'll listen. Until then, stuff it cause I am not interested in what you have to say.
jflail2: Elitist? Really? I get attacked by someone who is questioning my position...well, here, I'll post it for you, in context, unlike you that drags my words out of context to hold them up as an example of what they aren't.

In that quote, snow makes the backhanded comment "Perhaps someday you will get ripped off for something and no one will say a word because they know that you would want them to mind there own buisness." to which the quote you made from me was responding to. My post was not elitist. It was stating that my history here far exceeds what snow knows and his backhanded comment is out of left field. The truth is I have been screwed here. I handled it. How did it pan out? My business, not yours and doesn't matter anyway because the user who did the **** is no longer here.
As far as the "inner circle" idea goes, if there is one, I don't know about it because I'm sure as hell not in it. I know I'm not liked here. That's fine because there are a few I like and get along with. The rest that don't care for me, I just like relieving myself in your Wheaties because you get all spun up about it and we get to see the true colors of the people who tell me I'm "elitist" and "a know it all". It's petty, really. As far as how people view you, most probably don't because they don't know you because you don't participate. But I suppose that makes me "elitist" and "a know it all too".

TECHNOKID: Newsflash for you. You're one of the n00bs that I've been referring to.
No john I dont know you on a personal level and to be honest I probally never will. All most of us get to see of someone else on these boards is what they write here. It appears to me that if anyone other than of course one of the old timers you mention disagree with anything you say in the slightest the attack is on. When and where have I publically called you names?

    SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Inner circles, peer groups, informal leaders, and spheres of influence do not end in high school.

I rarely invoke absolutes, but any time you have a group of people, you will absolutely have inner circles, peer groups, informal leaders, and spheres of influence.

....if you got screwed by someone a post to let everyone know to be cautious of the seller is one thing but why destroy someone like that? Surely if he reads the forum and see's everyone bashing him its going to piss him off and the buyer may never get the transaction straight.

You're presuming a crook cares and has a conscience. News flash! Crooks don't care what people think of them, all they care about is getting over you. Thankfully, enough here get that.

Apparently there are many that can't differentiate between "injecting peer pressure to make right on a transaction" and "go mentally unstable on their a$$"........

I think it's pathetic that anything not aligned with "going mentally unstable" gets labeled PC......the reality is that I'd be just as affected as someone else, but choose not to act like a dipshit......call that what you may (grown up?).......

Unless you're buying from a B&M store........you KNOW there's inherrant risk involved.......period. Welcome to reality boys and girls.

This is exactly what comes to mind every time I see these types of posts. What about this situation is worth even arguing about? Haven't you seen the picture about the Special Olympics and arguing over the Internet?

The crazy part is this bickering keeps popping up on these forums quite regularly.
