its funny how in most states a motorcyclist does NOT need a helmet, but if I back my car out of the driveway and park it in front of my house I had better have a seatbelt on! I had a neighbor get a ticket for this very reason! And it is insane to allow pot or any other mind altering drug to be sold legally without doctors prescription.

Most state do have helmet laws actually

Pot......Tabacco.....Alcohol any of it you take into your body constantly does horrible damage. Lungs.....Liver.....Brain......ect
The fact is we are all gonna die of something no matter what!

Reminds me of a Gym Coach I has in HS......
    Guy was a health nut.....never drank.....smoked cigs or pot......ate right.....ran 5 miles EVERYDAY.
Was in the Boston Marathon several times even.
Big time Raccoon Hunter....would stomp all over the woods at night with the dogs......went hunting with Him several times as a teen.
At 60yrs old He was out for His daily run one day.......they found Him on the side of the road dead as a cold Mackerel.
Dropped dead of a heart attack after all those years of healthy living.

When your number is up it's up......nothing can change that!

    BLAH BLAH BLAH

    Shut up already, kid.

You shouldn't be able to smoke pot or do LSD or heroin because they are ILLEGAL. When the laws change, your arguments might be more potent if you manage to back them up with something other than "WAAAAAA But I wanna!"

Until then, at the very best of a stretch you are committing civil disobedience/

    Civil disobedience is still disobedience.

    DING!

It was easy to find too! I just went to http://www.google.com and typed in "what states have helmet laws" and Google has had it searched so much that it auto completed it for me!

    Here's a link: http://www.iihs.org/laws/HelmetUseCurrent.aspx

That is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's website and it show laws, by state, for not only motorcycle but ALSO bicycle helmet laws!

BLAST! Foiled by the Internet again!

I get laid plenty and my sex life is quite frankly nobody's business but mine. As for my opinions, when the potheads can formulate a cohesive argument that doesn't contradict itself without committing multiple fallacies and trying to change the subject to alcohol or cigarettes or whatever other half-baked analogies they want to try and foist off as "fact", then I will listen.

As far as getting stuff off the top of my head, a teensy bit of effort is all that is needed. All I did to find the info and cite some sources of proof about what I was saying was to go to http://www.google.com and type in "studies on marijuana" and hit "Go". Then, BAM! The world at my finger tips! I cannot understand how so many people can be so misinformed and just flat out wrong when the ability to find the truth is a keyboard and a computer screen away.

Get educated. Stop talking out of your hind end.

And yeah, I have picked up quite a few people who must have been OD'ing on something else because, in case you didn't know, it's impossible to OD on pot. Cause they didn't have any "magic brownies" loaded with the good stuff hanging around or anything when tthe forenssics guy was looking for clues while we removed "the body".

Oh and that one dude we had to peel off the telephone pole along with his motorcycle with the joint STILL IN HIS MOUTH under his helmet must have been high on something else because there is no way he would have lost his faculties under the influence of pot.

Oh and then there was the kid with the oxygen mask and chronic respiratory failure and emphysema who never touched a cigarette in his life but smoked pot like a Columbian brush fire couldn't have had those issues from pot, pot CURES that stuff, don'tcha know?

Yeah, it's a big joke now but drugs are bad...mmmm'kay. Whether they are legal or not.

Bottom line, pump all the toxins in to your body you want, it's fine with me. You're helping cleanse the gene pool. But don't try to rationalize your poor behavior with cockamamy "facts" and anecdotal evidence that you heard from your friend's, brother's, buddy's, uncle's sister-in-law. Cause it just doesn't fly.

    My bad.

No-one is telling you that you can't smoke pot. The argument here is whether or not it should be legalized. Oh by the way if you read my post carefully you would have seen that I said booze was also a gateway drug for me.

I will say though, that I'm a bit sick of the government deciding on what's "best" for "everyone". They make so many poor decisions on a daily basis that it's absurd. Surely no one should operate any type of motor vehicle under the influence of ANYTHING. However, as long as it isn't harming anyone, or being a poor influence on kids, I don't see the harm in someone sitting on their couch at home, puffing a joint, and watching a movie. Just my opinion.

It is hard for me to think of a dad/mom smoking pot in their couch at home, without it being a poor influence on their kids. Just my opinion. Curt comes to mind.

I always thought of pot as a gateway drug to Ding Dongs and Cold Stone Creamery, but that's just me...
Either way, I think I'll just stick with good ol' crack for the time being.

Lol, of course it would be a poor influence. Just as getting drunk sets a bad example. Lets try to keep it friendly tho guys. This is after all an open forum for our opinions. Respect is important.

Absolutely my friend! Also this whole "medication" thing is a complete parse! Man what a scam, these 'heads' act like they can't wait to pay taxes on dope "cause their such great people" PLEASE. If they make it completely legal they will NOT be gladly pay taxes on stuff they grow at home. I'd like to hook my amp to them on bridged mono for an hour, that'll fix em.

Some of this is complete BULL! How can you say someone isn't going to lose their faculties under the influence of pot??? Have you ever done it? You must be a moron with fancy words. I have 'tried' it and I couldn't function at all under it's influence and no way could I drive a car. So don't go spouting off about BULL like that!
Hell, the FAA did studies that effected non pot smokers for a week after doing it for the test, similar to what I experienced.

IMO, this BS about the government halting the recession is crazy. Since when did giving the government more money solve anything. The only thing they could do with the money would be to "take" care of the millions of potheads who could not hold down a job or even finish a sentence without forgetting what they were talking about.
