Both Home Depot and Lowe's Carry Romex Brand Wires in my area.

    You'll want a reel of 12/2 with Ground. I think they have 25', 50', 100' and 250' lengths reels.
Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:

It doesn't have to be Romex. Anything home indoor use 12/2 wire with Ground will do. You don't have to wreak your brain on Romex brand. It's not better than any other Brand you'll find in Home Depot or Lowe's.

    U R Very Welcome, Dude!

From the links there, you just need to look for "Indoor 12-2 With Ground". There are so many to choose from the link with different length. You are running a wire in the walls, right? If you are running outside the home, use "Outdoor" Wire.

For 25ft length, this one should do

    http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=70012-295-28828221&lpage=none

Also, grab a book of home electrical guide when you are at Lowes. I am sure you'll find a use for it. :)

Then he may already have spare wire for ya. If you get it yourself, make sure you get enough. Depending on how its routed, you can easily end up adding a few feet to the run and exceed what you bought. If its real close go with the 50' if your bud doesn't already have some.

I hear ya. I'm the same way. ;)

The Fiber, along with Digital Coax (SPDIF) outputs the audio signal from a source (such as a CDP) as digital data with one of the main purposes being conversion to Analog in some other component (DAC, AVR, etc). The reg RCA audio outputs, are analog and need no further conversion. Ultimately you must feed an analog signal to an amp.

Itd be a waste if i dont use TV speakers, Im very impressed with the speakers and dont have polk speakers at this time.

Hdmi does take care of everything, but since I bypassed my avr and went straight to the tv I need a way for the avr to get a signal if I want to watch a movie that's on directv

I only bypass it for my direct, everything else runs thru the 805. When I get off work i'll check and see if the souces I have running thru the onkyo plays thru the tv as well as my speakers.

Ok figured it out. The Onkyo 805 has a HDMI pass through which allows you to listen through you tv speaker and HT speakers.

    Go to the menu
Then go to #7 hardware setup
Next go to # 5 hdmi
Last hdmi audio out set to on.

    Hope this helps
