I'm no expert on this, but I don't think you can run any electrical wiring (such as what you linked to) in-wall except what is already there (Romex). If anything you'd have to run it on the surface using WireMold.
25' is a long run too.

I want the cords to be hidden! can anyone suggest? the rack i plan to place has comfortable zone for all of us here. it ll be out of our way and only option to place it.

I plan to set RTi a9 and CSI a6 by side/ beneath the tv without tv stand.

Am trying to figure how i want to hide the cords.

    this is what you need:

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=105&cp_id=10425&cs_id=1042505&p_id=4652&seq=1&format=2

its what i used for a clean install on my flat panel, pricey? yes, but its the safest way to run that long of a wire in wall, basically you mount the INLET behind the TV, wire it up with ROMEX( the only safe solution for in-wall) to the OUTLET, then your power cord can be pulgged into your power center, i know i made it sound more difficult than it should be

you are not understanding how it works..the 6ft power cord provided with that link is plugged from the outlet into your power conditioner, the power cord provided with your tv is plugged from your tv to the INLET, you are connecting the INLET and OUTLET behind the walls with romex

ill try to dig up a link that explains it better

absolutely not!! its very very simple...the hardest part will be fishing the wire thru the wall from point A to B, you just need to purchase romex cable and 2 electrical boxes(the blue one) you then connect the ground, hot and negative wires from the ROMEX to the INLET and OUT. it is using the power from your power center which is already plugged into the wired outlet...i really need to find that link to put it in perspective

I think i got what u are saying... i plan to take off trims and install wiring behind it, then put trim back. is that ok? wont cause fire?

or is it possible to install wire under floor wood i plan to install soon??

not to sure about home depot other than the ROMEX and electrical boxes? buying from the link i posted is pricier than monoprice, when i 1st found out about the powerbridge a few months back they had a special where AVSforum members got the white ones for something like $50?

Hmm, that Powerbridge is an interesting product. I like the concept, esp since the desired end result of using an existing remotely located Power Conditioner as the power source is achieved, as opposed to just another power source if you were to just have a new outlet installed.

CP, I wouldn't install the extension Romex any differently than i would a new receptacle from the breaker panel. You should follow the same safety rules for running Romex.
So if its OK to run Romex behind trim, then you'd be OK, but something tells me that might not be OK to do. You might want to ask an electrician if that's allowed or not. I have a vague recollection of an episode on This Old House where they had to do something like that in a house where they couldn't run the power in the wall to a location that needed an outlet.

You could do that (run under trim) with the HDMI, but then again, probably not a good idea to run the AC and HDMI next to each other like that (at a min--interference reasons)

Do you have basement or attic access?

The external cable management stuff I was referring to is like this or this.

More expensive option, but you could also have a new receptacle installed (from the breaker panel) and a power conditioner mounted on the wall behind the TV. Something like this. I'm not suggesting that particular model, just the style.

No. ACSubie suggested a kit. The one end in the kit is a custom jobby.

Guys tell me whatcha think and which one you prefer?

    Black or Cherry TV STAND.

I havent decide which color furniture i should go for, i already know that i plan to install cherry wood floor soon. Will it look too much with cherry floor and cherry furnitures? Am going for contemporary looking. I think Onkyo and Emotiva UPA-7 can fit in middle of cabinet door. Do you think cherry TV stand matched RTI A cherry color?

That's a nice looking stand. I'd go for the cherry myself...but it all depends on the room I suppose. Black may look better though since you're going to have cherry flooring and cherry speakers. That's your call though of course.;)

One issue with that stand though, is it looks like it won't have very good ventilation. I don't know about the Emo amps, but the Onkyo's tend to run pretty hot. You'd definitely want to be leaving the front door open when it's in use.

I already know that, I might as well take the middle door off, or install fans that can be plugged to onkyo and it turns on when onkyo is turned on. is that possible?

Floor will be cherry wood finish.
Black Stand with Cherry CSi a6, RTi a3 fronts and RTi a9 or
Cherry stand with black RTi A speakers.

    OR

All in cherry finish furnitures with 3 white walls (may paint light tan) and one orange wall (Where tv is mounted)that's already painted and white trims?? Brown Furniture, brown curtain, white window trims and wood blinds).

Yeah, taking the middle door off would probably solve the problem. Good call.

Yes, they make fans that will work like that. Just google "A/V fans" or something of that nature. You should be able to find something.

Only thing you have to watch out for or just keep in mind with Cherry finishes, is that not all finishes are alike and its possible that they can clash a bit. For example the new RtiA series has a different cherry finish then the RTi series. Its similar but different-ones more brown and ones more red. In my case the RTi Series almost perfectly matched the Cherry entertainment center (lucky for me since the wife won't have a mismatch), however the CsiA6 was different-it wasn't a big deal though since it mostly concealed.

Right now I have some temp controlled fans for my Onk. I plugged them into the AC outlet on the back of the Onk. When the Onk is on, so are the fans (in my case they don't actually come on until a certain temp but you get the idea).
I don't need a fan for the XPA-5, however I keep the door cracked at least in inch for airflow (until I get off my lazy arse and cut some holes and mount some fans :o)

Of course he colrs you choose will come down to your preference. Or actually and more importantly your wife's. Do yourself a favor and let her choose ;)

Did you realize that CD rack is $73 to ship?

The TV Stands say they are not avail in the store--Not sure if they charge shipping or not. Edit-yep $70 to ship the stand as well.

That's a good point...that almost doubles the price.

You could probably manage to find a shelf like that somewhere locally, and not have to spend the 70 bucks for shipping. It does look like a nice shelf though either way. I need to invest in a new shelf for all of my CD's and movies sometime soon myself.

I got the price wehn I added the stand to a cart and went through the checkout process. 3-5 shipping is $70.
However, I just now saw the free shipping option on the item page. If you go for it better hurry-expires on Feb 14th. I was at the final satge of the checkout, not sure whe they were going to apply it, but if it says it, I guess its there.

Anyone got any idea what is "CEVA" shipment is? I ordered my tv (chose white glove delivery on monday) then i looked shipping status, it sent from indianapolis using CEVA service. I am assuming its not white glove service or is it being shipped to authoirzed dealer and they send 2 guys over?

Anyone deal with CEVA shipping service before???

Also, I cant find any info on Romel wire on lowes or home depot site.

Where can i buy romel wires locally in philly?
