    There is a core group of members here that are actively participating in this thread (DK, Valentine, cnoat, conradicles....)

    I think some of us were waiting for cnoat to get the Hong Kong sourced AQ's to compare to his locally purchased copies.

    The thread wasn't going dormant, just waiting for his cables to come in. At least that is my take.

    Don't participate if you don't feel like it instead of thread crapping.

    I don't believe in completely ignoring others, I mean everyone deserves a chance but you should probably try a different approach as to getting your points across. Who knows, you may or may not end up back on it again. It's not the end of the world for anyone :p

    some sellers from USA sell cables under the pretext of original not at super cut price... :-(
    To check the real cable or not it is possible only after its purchase, or it is necessary that the seller made big photos.
    If there are doubts, it is better not to buy.

    I bought a AQ Carbon HDMI cable from ebay once. I wanted to know if I was getting ripped off or getting a great deal for $50. When I got them, I compared them to one I had bought from BestBuy. The boxes were identical but it was very clear that the ebay cable was a fake. The cable was thicker and the HDMI connecter was cheap plastic.

    Filed a case with ebay and they were prompt to refund the charge. Phew...

    Lesson here - buy from local store where you can check it out but plonking a huge amount of cash for cables :)
