Guilty Pleasure movies?

Just finished watching "Howard the Duck" circa 1986. It was a bad movie when I was a kid and even worse now, although it was one of my favorites at the time. Really brings me back. Anyone else have movies that are favorites even though they stink?

Most of my DVD collection would be considered absolute garbage by the mainstream. What can I say? I have a thing for B movies. Anything by Troma. Italian zombie movies. Splattergore. Nunspoitation (yes, a real genre). 50's Sci-Fi. Everything on Myster Science Theater 3000. Anything hosted by Elvira. The list goes on and on....
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Most of the things I would consider "guilty" pleasures would probably be chick flicks or the like.

I'd have to agree with that...one of my guilty pleasures is Titanic. I don't care what anyone else thinks...it's a damn well done movie. Makes me cry...I'm not to much of a man to admit that I cry every now and then...lol

I can agree with that. Titanic was a great movie, very well done.

If we're on Chick Flicks I would add The Notebook. Awesome movie IMO.

Now I'm going to turn the system to 11 to get back some brawn...lol.

Land of the Lost TV series. Yeah I know not a movie, but I bought the First season on DVD to watch while my kid was in the hospital (awhile ago). I used to watch that show ALL THE TIME as a kid. Man talk about a cheesy show today. I just keep laughing at how bad it is.

OK, Movie? How about Airplane. I remember when it was funny. Still is to me in a way, but my wife never saw it when it was in its prime (she was deprived ). So We watched it one night. She wasn't impressed. I couldn't argue with her-it just wasn't the same--I guess since the envelope has been pushed so much farther today. :(

I'll see if I can pull anymore out of the cobwebs.

x2 Johnny English is awesome! I need to watch that one sometime soon...it's been a while.

Land of the Lost!! I forgot about that show...I need to pick up one of the seasons and see how cheesy it is by todays standards.

And anyone who doesn't like Airplane just has bad taste. Period. Airplane is one of my all time favorite comedy's. I find it a lot funnier than the modern "Superbad" style comedies...which IMO are terrible. Why can't anyone make a funny movie anymore? Newer comedies aren't really that funny if you ask me...they're just gross and ridiculously exaggerated.

Let's see...managed to think up a few more.

I'll agree with Shack...all of the Disney movies are great. Sure...they're kid movies, but they're still fun to watch. They put you in a good mood...remind you of a simpler times and all that.

Easy Rider too-not very good by todays standards, but it's a cult classic. I love it.

Catch Me If You Can-not the one that everyones seen...it's an old car movie about this group of kids that are trying to save their high school from closing down by making money through illegal drag racing...pretty cool movie. I highly recommend it for any car enthusiast...kinda hard to come by though.

    Cannonball Run!!

    Smokey and the Bandit!

Why should any the movies in this thread be guilty pleasures? They're all great movies...lol
