... You might end up running over it with your SUV

See the rest of the carnage here.

This was a Sony Vaio TZ-150N/B. Came in today from a remote salesman with the company. It's being replaced by a TZ-190/N (wooo, SSD!).

The only things I salvaged from this machine were the battery, the stick of RAM, and the Hard Drive (miraculously).
Ludicrous gibs!

While I'd normally like to agree with you, I don't think the majority of our Dells would've held up much better... It looks like it was sitting on top of a well-curved rock when he ran over it. It made me sad to hold it in my hands :( $3000 a year ago...

I don't think any laptop is going to hold up to that event! Holy cr@p! I hope he takes better care of the next one. Considering you got the RAM and HDD all back, I think you did rather well.

I never liked my old Vaio Ultra Portable (power brick too big compared to Toshiba Port

I'm still not sure how it happened. It obviously wasn't in a carrying bag, as there's spots of mud on the lid. I dunno if it fell out of the car when he had a door open or what.

I was working on a project for Dr. Pepper where we were implementing new wireless handhend symbol units and we would have a few drivers that would set the things on top of their big tires and forget about them and drive over them. Surprisingly, they usually still worked, but were scratched up (more so if on asphalt vs. dirt)......

Those Symbol handhelds are very tough, and in a nice compact hard plastic covered with rubber, usually. Much more durable than a VAIO :o.

A little duct tape and your good to go :D.

Am I the only one thinking there's no way that could be accidental?
