If we are in a world war - it is our fault - it is our greed as a country that will/is putting us in that situation..........and right now that greed is propagated unto us by Madison Ave with federal encouragement because it is good for them - the ones it isn't good for is We The People..........

I know I am in a minority here - but most just spew what they read in the paper/ see on TV - and all that BS is spewed by a very small and focused group of people - I don't know that my solutions are right - but I know what's propagated by the largest propaganda machine the world has ever seen is not good for me or my neighbor.....

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Blame all the evils in the world on us.

Uggh err dah err ahhh ummm deerrrr ummm if the money is flowing out, and not returning we will have no money to uhh err dah hmm ahh derrrr umm spend. With no money you have no choice on what you can buy period. If you are too stupid to see that money flowing out, and not returning is a bad thing please keep it to yourself because you are making yourself errr dduuudfnsdakfvkjnasdfgvjolknjkln,kl k,ml.n look well...

Yes a bailout with no regulations would be completely stupid. It is very obvious that the management sucks real bad. They care about their check, and that is it. So what should be done is take all of upper management out, and hire new management. Drop wages. The workers will hate me for this, but there will be no more GM if they don't fix it. Boot the union. They are a waste of Oxygen. The idea around a Union was good. We have labor laws now to protect workers. We do not need to pay big money to trained monkey with no real skill. I said it before, and I am saying it again. If you want more money do something that requires skilled labor. Any Joe Smoe can figure out how to put the same six screws in all day long:rolleyes: He doesn't deserve more than $20hr:eek:
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

How will a bailout solve the problems of the Big 3? That's what I want to know. A one time payout will keep the paychecks rolling for a few more years, but what fundamental change will happen at the Big 3 that will turn them into profitable businesses? If there is no change than the whole automotive industry and sub-industries will need a continual taxpayer payout system.

Such is the problem. Chrysler has at least tried to do something different.
The money tree only has a certain number of branches. When it's gone, it's gone.
The mint is gonna run out of paper before we can fix all the broken
companies. In recent years, people were spending an average of 99% of
their income. BAD, BAD, BAD. Nowhere to go but down. I saw a
projection today of a 1% drop in consumer spending next year.
I wish they would just take a toke and pass it around instead of Bogarting it.
What dumbass believes it will only drop 1% next year?
Wanting to help GM and doing it are two different things. Other than trucks,
they've got nothing I want. And I'm not buying a truck anytime soon.

I think supporting our own economy by choosing our products is a good thing

Yes, it is, but you can't expect people to keep buying if it is not even close to a competitive product. If it is, then there is no problem but with the wages the way they are it is hard to keep your product competitive if you choose to manufacture here. By protecting the market from competition, is that going to be an answer either? Soon we would be living in isolation as we wouldn't be buying from anyone and nobody would be buying from us.

When the borrowed money ends, people have to face the reality they have to settle for less. You want manufacturing to return to USA? Only when the wages support profitability. That is a problem in every wealthy state, not just USA. Germany and numerous other Northern European countries have had the same issues for a long time as well. Manufacturing jobs are escaping to Eastern Europe, Latin American, Asia because of much cheaper wages. All these countries tout the same thing, buy domestic, it's better quality and blah blah.

JMO, but it's a simple as the lesson we all heard in 1st grade:
"If I give you the answer, you won't learn" The execs will still get ridiculous bonuses, and the union will want to be OVERcompensated.
If we do bail them out, I'll never buy an american vehicle again.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

If they don't you might not have the choice. The Big 3 going under will only hurt our fragile economy and infrastructure further. Will changes have to be made...ABSOLUTELY!!!
