    My prediction -- you'll like them more than the 7U's. I have no basis for it, just a feeling. I think it's great that you're doing this and really look forward to your assessment of the new speakers.

    GF got me Audiophile Vocal Recording CD for Christmas --

    Some hardcore reference songs, a whole CD of em for me to get used to before the D2's get here...

    I'll be honest. I think this new line looks horrible. I'd stay with the older models no matter how good these might sound (which can't be that much better) ;)

    LOL, let him at least break them in guys. I wouldn't make any judgments until they get some hours on them.

    They use great drivers, I like how the drivers are spaced out and offset, and I'm sure the crossovers are good...so I can't imagine them sounding bad. But, I don't know if I could get over their overall appearance.

    But the bass is thunderous, and I would gander the mids are a little clearer - maybe.
