I wasn't going to sell these because I didn't want to ship them. But I have just got off the phone with Ken at Polk CS and I am going to have new Lsi9 shipping cartons sent to me so I can send them safely.

He still has to call me back to give me a total. So I have to pay for them and have them shipped from California. So it might be a few days before I can have them ready for shipment to the new owner.

I also don't know what to ask for them. If anybody has been following my thread on these know that a lot of time, work and money have went into them. But in reality I know I will never get out them what I have in them So am just going to throw a price out there that I think is fair with a OBO attached to it.

I would like to get $650.00 plus shipping for these if possible. If someone is interested and does not think this is acceptable PM with a offer and I'll take it under consideration.

Heres a link to the thread about there transformation.

If anybody has any questions. Please feel free to ask.

I said this once, but I'll say it again. Those are freakin' gorgeous.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Can they be turned on their sides so I can slice tomato's for my BLT? Those are gorgeous.

Dude. Its just what I Do. You gotta move gear to get gear. Or at least I do.

Plus. I want to get my little HT done. I wanted to build a HT around an awesome 2 channel rig. But I ran out of money and haven't been working at all.

So I have decided to sell everything and downsize. I'll be able to complete my little 2.1 HT and pocket some money for some extra security while I don't have any work.

Plus I am sick of Polks right now. All I have ever had is Polks and I can't stand them anymore. I just need a break from them. I love them and will own more. But I just want to get my ears on something different. Its time for a change.

I Have already ordered HK's newest most powerful 2 channel receiver.

I will be picking up a pair Magnepan MMG's and a entry level SVS sub. I will also be picking up a Panasonic PT-AX200U Projector.

I can't pick up the rest of the stuff until my Pre and speakers sell. Well maybe the Maggie's. But I might wait until everything is sold for the added security of money in the bank.

I just need to sell the rest of my stuff..

So like I said. If the price is to high. I'm open to offers. ANY OFFERS!!

Cool man. Good luck with the sale. I wemt a 2 year period where i was selling gear to get gear about every 2 or 3 months. I have now settled on a rig that suits me just fine and have no more intentions buy for awhile.

Although the maple Lsi's match the speakers I have now............;)

I don't think your price is too high, given the unique nature of the finish. If you were selling a regular pair of LSi9 at that price I'd say it's too high, but these aren't just any regular LSi...

I'm sure someone will want that finish enough to pay what you're asking, it's certainly not unreasonable.

Much as i shouldn't be asking this.....

Where in Indiana are you again?

I'm really on the fence over these.... Beautiful speakers, and i really want them, i'm just not sure i can justify the rash of upgrades that i'll go through to actually put them to good use.

Yeah.... i've been agonizing over it for a couple days...

I think we're in different boats, though... i just can't help but think that i don't have the equipment to really let these shine, and the pocketbook and the project car would both REALLY hate the resulting upgrades necessary.

You should just buy them so i can just say that i missed out. :D And of course let me visit just so i can see them once.

I have a second pair of LSi9's at my office currently being way way way way underpowered by an HCT 13 watt (yes I said 13 watt) tube hybrid integrated amp (really meant for iPods and small speakers or headphones) thingey, and they sound fantastic (at respectable lower volumes of course). I mean that I didn't think any sound would even come out of them at all, but they sound really good-unreal bass, etc. Those LSi9s are some speakers fo'sure.

Get 'em now, power em with what you have, upgrade the amp later-You can't lose- You'll get a beautiful pair of excellent speakers with fine craftsmanship in the paintjob-Not mass market paintshop stuff-but individual attention to detail with these puppies; and the wood panels-undeniably a unique pair. We're talking SOLID wood panels here not just veneered.

You'll also always know that giving them better power will result in better sound. And don't forget about the XO upgrade for even more potential improvement in SQ.

    Just sayin'

    If I didn't have 19 pairs already  ....

I'm going to have to pass on these.... With the threat of snow this week, i really have to concentrate on finding a winter beater so i can actually get to work. I'm not about to try to drive through weather with my autocross tires.

    Sorry. :(

    Good luck, and free bump

Thats what I'm talking about. Polk should have offered Maple in the first place. Actually
you should be able to custom order any color you want. I would have paid extra for that level of flexibility. So would alot of my customers.

Keep in mind that besides the maple sides Nick also repainted the gloss black so it is shinier. From the photos in his thread above they look very nice. Sorry Nick, I just bought a pair of LSi9's from Slowcar.

Heres a pic of the one of the tops...

    It looks like a mirror.

I am actually in no hurry to sell these. In fact. I don't even care if they sell or not. Since I've moved them back to the bedroom they sound phenomenal now. I am extremely happy with them. They totally pressurize the room with chest hitting bass. I love'em.

The only reason there still for sale is because I need the money. If somebody would buy them I would downgrade to something like a RtiA7 or what I really want is a pair of Magnepan MMG's. That way I could put some money in the bank and still have a decent pair of speakers....

All though at this point. I think the only way I would sell them is if someone was willing to pay the asking price...... Or close to it.

    Cheers

    Nick

You should sell them to someone who lives close to you and turns over equipment like it was their job. That way you could pick them back up when times get better. It would be like a no interest loan with collateral :)

They should have at least made the panels removable. Kinda like they do for refrigerators and dish washers in kitchens. You can swap panels in to match you're cabinetry. But I guess that would have led to possible vibration issues or something.

A nice Oak set would be nice to to match all the Oak entertainment centers.

Might have increased sales due to WAF alone.
