I wouldn't call these clean by any means (scratches all over the top, some edge wear, drivers need cleaning), but pushing on all the drivers didn't result in any squeaking or anything. When I get them home, I'll clean them up as much as I can, but here they are in the car, which is apparently signaling toxic cargo........go figure.

I know......I have to send my B&K in for service and when it comes back, I'm gonna warn the neighbors that I'm just playing for a few hours and that's why their walls are doing the wave.........hopefully they'll be ok with that......lol.

I am wanting to get my own place, but it's really hard to justify that with me traveling as much as I do. I don't want roommates that will have free reign with me gone, but I don't want to be paying everything each month and be home so little.......

I'll get a better idea what my typical schedule is going to be like when I start the new job on Monday.......fun times.

Well, I'm heading up tonight to go and get these things............lol...........

I have zero need for them atm, but I want to get them while I can and funds are available to do so with them being relatively close.

I have to get hold of Rex to confirm exactly where I'm going, but I talked to him twice today and told him I was just ironing out the details but would be getting back to him (which I couldn't do all afternoon).

Anyways, I'm heading a few hundred miles up right now and will sleep for a bit in the car then call Rex to confirm exactly where these things are.

(I know, it's insane to be starting a 900 mile road trip without having confirmed with the guy.........)
Congrats brettw22 im certain you will love these. Where were these things actually at, mount vernon, sedro wooley, big lake or?

    REGARDS SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

What happened to the feet? Did you remove them?
    SRT For Life; SDA Forever!

    The SRT SEISMIC System:
Four main satellite speakers, six powered subs, two dedicated for LFE channel, two center speakers for over/under screen placement and three Control Centers. Amaze your friends, terrorize your neighbors, seize the audio bragging rights for your state. Go ahead, buy it; you only go around once.

They were in Mount Vernon, about 45 minutes north of Seattle area.

I unscrewed all of the feet. He had them all screwed totally down so it wasn't a big deal, but I didn't want to have anything happen with a post getting broken off in the screws.........

Whenever I get the whole setup going, I will be using my 2 pairs of f/x1000's instead of those white surrounds.......not a fan of those things personally..........

I'm off to bed..........I'm exhausted and gonna try to get home by tomorrow afternoonish.

Apparently the guys version of "no dents or tears" didn't include rubbed off corners or vinyl or a chip in the upper front edge of one of the sub boxes......

At some point, these could go for a whole relam (have to double check the tops), but right now they're in the front room of my apartment looking mean as hell and just begging to be played for a bit...........which can't happen until I send in and get back my B&K that's having some issues.

I'm exhausted.......just got home about an hour ago and am about to pass out.....nite y'all

There's absolutely nothing that's logical about my buying these.............nothing........

My dad has been trying to convince me there's a difference between want and need.......they both have 4 letters, thus they're the same......lol........

    I'm done for now though..........trust

Hey Brett i not long did mine... I ended up filling the grain lam and respraying in 2-pot metallic black. They look awesome, much better than the woodgrain finish that was standard. I bet mine were far worse for wear than yours, i shipped mine 9000 miles LOL

IIRC it must be time to retire those 16's??? BTW the 1000's are a good combo, i have 500i's that are struggling to show any presence.....
In terms of audio, i truly feel sorry for the visually impaired. How can they know what they like if they cant read google?

    I was doing a mental inventory the other day........In storage, I have 4 pairs of Rt16's, 2 pairs of f/x1000's, a cs1000p, a pair or two of rti38's, a PSW1200, and a pair of RTi12's.......

Soon to be added will be these SRT's, but I'll actually be using the VM30's and Microsub3000 that I won at PF for my bedroom system..........

You need to sell all that other stuff....that's just ridiculous. As well as they're all dropping in value as I type this.

Well, at least I'm within a stone's throw Brett if you ever decide to part with the SRT's and I'm in a better position to buy them. In the meantime, I would love to replace my RT12 surrounds with another matched set of RT16's. Would you be willing to sell or trade for a set of your RT16's? :D

You say trade like I need another pair of speakers..........lol.......

At some point I probably need to get something a little more 2 channelish to run the VM30 system...........for now I'll haul out my B&K307 (after it gets back from the shop, which it's going to on Monday)........

I'll let you know when I get the storage unit cleared out.......I would say yes automatically (to a pair of RT16's), but they're buried and I'm not unloading half of the thing for a pair of speakers right now.........

The SRT's are gonna stay around for quite a while........probably gonna look into getting them refinished so they're nice and pretty again.........
