I'll never get it. The modern workplace RUNS on pc's and the network.
If an employee's pc is down, they are twiddling their thumbs until it's fixed.
Yet they always seem willing to cut corners to save a buck. Everyone
want's to cut IS costs, but is it really saving the company money?"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -

Never, the time is ALWAYS lost in that employees productivity who is down while they wait for the outsourced outfit to take care of it.
Sure, money is saved by outsourcing the IT guys in their salaries, but it's always lost somewhere else in the company.
Outsourcing is just a fad, it will stop eventually. -
don't count on it stopping anytime soon. we as a country have brought this upon ourselves with greed and what not. well, not ALL of us. but you know what i mean. but MAYBE we'll be okay. i mean heck, we sort of overcame being replaced completely by robots and other machines.
...thus far.
