So just a mild review Ben? I saw the Amazon price of $18 and almost bought it except for the poor reviews. But since I loved the first one, can the second one really be that bad?
I loved the first one too. Nice medium length goals, and when you are done you go to another level.
FarCry2 is a far cry from the original FarCry.
It starts off with a real slow painful tutorial. After going through that for a while you are thinking I should be playing the game by now. So now you get to the game. The map is huge. If you are on one end, and you need to get to the other it can take up to a half hour to get there. Half the intersections on the roads are manned. Same scenario every time. Pull up man the machine gun, start blasting away, get out fix truck, and head to the next manned post. I got bored, and now I just blast through them , and make them chase me. This way they just come after you, and you don't need to hunt them down. If you were actually going somewhere new it would not be so bad. The diamond hunting thing sucks. They are all over the place, and you have to cover nearly every inch of the map before your diamond detector says you are near one. You get out, and go looking for it. It is a real pain considering there are over 200 to collect. OK so you are out in the desert, and you have malaria. You got it right from the get go, and you need medication. You have one spot to find out where to get it. You go there, and guess what? you are on a mission to find the meds. The good thing about the missions is that the GPS has markers to send you where you need to go. Where are the dangerous animals? This is friggen Africa. Where are the lions, snakes, crocodiles, or ParanPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
Ben
