Can you "Y" from a preamp to a poweramp and sub?

I'm thinking of putting together a 2-channel rig using an older/used preamp that has no sub/rca out to a separate power amp.
But I also wanted to use the SVS PB-10 Sub - because of size and budget.
Can you use "Y" adapters off of a preamp to drive both a power amp and a sub?
Thanks,
Erik

Yup. You can also use a Tape Monitor Out but the signal will be fixed, not controlled by the volume control.

Thanks!
Is there such a thing as an 'audiophile' quality "Y" adapter?

Check out Audioquest, they make nice Y splitters. They are Audiophile quality allday.
Don't use the tape monitor, use left and right.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Thanks to all!
