I refuse to install RealPlayer so I haven't been able to get the press conference... but yeah, Belichick's personality leaves a lot to be desired....

Certainly doesn't help the nationwide hatred of the Patriots, either.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Maybe Drew Bledsoe is free. An injury is always a good excuse to throw a franchise player under a bus. 011.gif

    In all seriousness, that sucks.

I won't install realplayer either. The owner is a left wing loon.

Too bad about Brady. When does Michael Vick get out

Not anytime during this season. I don't think any team will touch him after he gets out anyway. He has bad mojo surrounding him.

Nah screw RealPlayer - I can get all the info I need from ESN Radio...

    Belichick is such a tool...

Really when I think about it, Belichick is the only reason I don't like the patriots. I realize he's a great coach and all, but c'mon man show a little bit of emotion. I realize you don't want to freak out and freak your team out, but damn man you just lost Tom Brady, it's not like you lost your third string punter...you just lost your best asset, act like it.

All this "We'll be fine...we change gameplans every week anyway, so now we'll just have to change to play without Tom...this is no different" talk by Belichick is nonsense. That's kinda a slap in the face to Brady, no?

Here's what I hope happens. I hope the Patriots have a bad year without Brady, then he comes back next year and they win a Super Bowl. Up until about 24 hours ago I couldn't even stand Brady or the Patriots, I've made no secret about that, now I realize I just hate Belichick, not the whole team.

I can't stand grumpy Bill, but you're way off base there. He said Tom Brady has worked harder and done more for the organization than anyone and he feels really bad for him. Going into full blown panic mode does nothing for the rest of his players. They already know what they lost.

Nah, Dallas will snap him up and throw him in a backup position. He'll piss and moan and Jerry Jones will tell him that he's lucky anyone gave him a job and to sit down and shutup if he knew what was good for him.

He's the asshat who "retired" because he wasn't getting enough attention. What a big baby. If he had spent the last few years conducting himself as an adult instead of a spoiled child he'd be on a team right now. But no, he refused to even consider being a backup, and chose retirement instead. Good riddance.

plus he acted as his own agent...not smart

I heard what he said, but it sounded dry, unfelt, and disingenuous. I can say anything, doesn't make it true. I'm sorry, the guy is so devoid of emotion I just find him hard to connect with...

Nothing new...It's not like his demeanor is some surprise. He's always sounded like a depressed ****.

I guess I'm confused why his presser should be seen as such a slap in the face to Brady. He was more complimentary towards him than I have seen him towards anyone, not that it's saying much.

I find his general attitude and statement something to the effect of "We always create a new gameplan for every opponent, and we'll do this for the Jets this week. This week is no different than any other week" distasteful. I didn't watch the presser live, so maybe ESPN Radio didn't disclose the full statement, but that statement particularly rubbed me the wrong way.

Yeah, neither team looked good. Maybe it's Chicago after all that takes that division. Looks like Minnesota's problem isn't the QB, who was decent today, it's his receivers that suck.

I will take Minnesotas receivers over the Seahawks right now!! Our top 4 WR are out (2 for the season). Most likely our backup QB will be playing WR next week haha. Should of happened a long time ago though. Wallace could be the next Randle El only better!

Tavaris Jackson sucked hind **** today.

The Packers looked just fine aside from the penalties, which knowing McCarthy, will have that shored up in short order. They lost a sweet TD due to a lineman being 3 yards downfield.

I'm not worried about the Bears at all.

I never understood why the Vikings were becoming the glamorous pick to win the Superbowl. I dont care how much they spent in the offseason. They still have a qb that is VERY unproven. In fact I have never had the feeling that Jackson will ever be beyond average. But he isn't even close to avg as of now.

Frustrating as usual for a Vikes fan. I still think if the Vikes have a somewhat decent qb, they win that game. The Pack really didnt do anything in the 2nd half, although wayyyyy too many big plays given up..including one called back like you said. The punt return was the killer. it was the Pack's night..

as bad as Jackson is, the receivers aren't much better..

it's amazing A. Peterson still gets 100 yards rushing last night

I hear that every year, and each year they turn into the Cubs. ;) I have no doubt they'll beat Green Bay, but then again I predict an 8-8 season. As far as the NFL goes, I'm not worried about the Bears. :)

It was a close game. Those big plays by GB won the game for them; that hailmary-type pass, ko return and the big run. What Childress needs to do is get more use out of his great HB's. Use them as receivers for gods sake! Peterson, and Taylor for that matter, can turn that 4y pass into 20y or more.

If the passing game doesn't produce it's all on Childress for not finding the right plays in the end.

Well, the Bears were first mentioned as the candidate to win the division (as it looks like now after poor performance by GB and Minnesota) so naturally one would think it was vs. GB. :)

Not that the Bears should be discounted or anything but the only teams I would worry about in the NFC right now are Dallas, Philly and New York. The Bears, Packers and Cardinals look like playoff teams right now but even seasons or slightly better, like a 9-7 or 10-6 season is what they are likely looking at. I'm expecting to see at least 12 wins each for Dallas, Philly and NY with thier losses being handed to them by each other or teams like The Patriots or Broncos or Steelers or something.

Well I loved how Denver smokes the Raiders, granted the Raiders are awful, but their defense last year was actually very good. Any ways the talk was about how now that Tom Brady is out what team benefits from it.

First word Peter King says is San Diego. Really Peter San Diego? Same San Diego that lost Sunday to an inferior Carolina team that did not have their best player on the field for the entire game? Same San Diego team that, if they lose next Sunday to the Broncos, in Denver no less, they will be two games back in the division. Right Peter, I am sure the Chargers are dancing right now about how TBrady went down.

Now watch next week when the Bronco's kick their **** (I hope they do any ways) Peter will be singing the praises of how Cutler looks much improved. And he will never mention what he said the weekend before.

Look I am no genius when it comes to football, but if anyone watched the Denver/San Diego game last December they would remember how Phillip Rivers taunted Jay Cutler. He was half way out on the field after a forth down incomplete pass taunting Jay Cutler. Football teams do not forget those kind of things. And I am sure the Broncos are not forgetting them either.
