Just received e-mail from Executive Director of State PUC....we're exempted from the pay cut :D

Apparently, Arnold has no direct executive authority over the PUC.

Makes you wonder where all that money is going. How could CA have such a deficit?

Too much lost time from non-work-related employee Internet usage? :D

Glad to hear that. Try not to go to DMV office for any reasons, I heard there are a bunch of disgruntled employees there (for the right reason, but still, service is to the everyday's Joe who has nothing to do with Arnold.)
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Sorry to hear that Danny; it really sucks....I understand that you'll get your "money back" when/if a budget is approved; hope that happens soon.

Danny, I would recommend looking for another job. Opportunities exist if you know where to find them.

I find it hard to believe that a gallon of gas is around $4-$5.00+ a gallon and minimum wage is $6.55 an hour before taxes. That, IIRC equals out to around what? $5.04 an hour take home pay? Let's say that you are out in a rural area and you are 25 miles away from your job. That's one gallon of gas just to get to work [avg.] and one gallon to get back. So, that's two hours you just worked for "free" everyday [in effect ;)].....just to get to work.

After you pay for insurance and your car payment, what do you have left out of your $201.60 you get for take home pay based on a 40 hour workweek?........What's that? A negative what?

.......and you still need housing and food. No wonder so many folks are on welfare.   Yeah, this will obviously save money.

I'm so sick and tired of all this. I'm so sorry you lost pay. I have seen people i know and who are close to me get there pay reduced in a market where everything costs more. Nothing like having to pay more and making less.

    I just wanna scream.

Well I have been having fun for over 3 years trying to get on SS disability. I can't get any help from the government. They know if I don't get my treatment I die. Plain and simple. It pisses me off that if I was a crack head who just wanted to suck off the government that I would have a better chance at getting help than being the father of two kids(one with autism), and plenty of paper work to show with reports of my conditions. Keep your head up. I hope at least you have medical. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

B dick they couldn't have named you better unless they named you ****. Been in jail. Food sucks! Well unless you like bologna. South FLA anyways.
Thanks to X wife who was a PO. We don't want to go there. Real weak $hit. I still harbor harsh feelings. Long story. Met a lot of real nice cops though.
    Thanks again

Well I was thinking of changing my post in the 20 minute window. While there are a lot of guys who deserve their stay some don't. I spent 7 months there. Not fun as a white boy. While I didn't get laid(good thing;)) it is not a nice place to stay. Sorry if I come across as cross but in the south they get paid to lock people up. FLA makes more off locking up people than tourism. If you think jail is a joke stay as an inmate. If you think the food is good I am sorry about your home life.
    Rock on

Just got out of meeting with management....despite the fact that a State budget has been passed (almost 90 days overdue), the State of California may not have the money to pay the next paychecks of State employees. Arnold, the Governator, has said that the State may need to borrow $7 billion from the Feds. Think the Russians will lend us some money??

So let's see....no raise, not even a cost-of-living-adjustment....no Federal minimum wage....no $$$ coming in at all. Hmmm, I may have to sell my SACDs and stereo components. :(

Btw, California's Unemployment Fund will go into the red at end of year due to increased unemployment within the state.
