I'm kidding.....terribly. They still make tab? I saw two cases of it 3 years ago and it was a special order situation. I tried to buy it for sheer entertainment value *VH1 where are they now style* but had no luck.
Me, I'm all about some root beer. A&W or Barqs or an occasional Mug. I love the stuff. Otherwise I'm a sprite man.
Heh..I know this isn't what you intended the thread to be about.

    OK,
getting back on track....I'll go first.
This year is going to yield my biggest upgrade ever.My new house will be done is 3 weeks or so,and the theater in the basement build will start shortly after.

Here is the upgrade path so far(not including the house audio system)
    1.Reciever from Denon avr3801 to Rotel rsp1066/rmb1075/rb1075
2.Speakers from Rt series to Lsi series.
    3.Power from Monster HTS5000 to avs2000 and HTPS7000.
4.Wires...still under construction..so many choices.....MIT/Monster/Tributaries/AudioQuest.and finally Transparent.......(running out of money I hope don't effect this.)
5.TV from Sony XBR36 to 110 inch Stewart and a Sharp DLP HDTV Porjector.....model number will vary depending on the new Sharp gun...9000u is in sights now.
6.Home Theater in the livingroom to Deadicated Theater.

Well thats just the start of it.I also built a house audio system.Inwalls (polk) in the dinningroom ceiling,In the livingroom wall,In the Masterbed wall,Outdoors(might add a second pair),then in the hallway bath a inceiling Niles stereo,in the Masterbath over the Jacuzzi a Niles Single stereo speaker.I'm controlling all this with Niles new system. The new solo keypads along with the number keypad.Very nice system. The preamp is Niles and the amps will be B&K avr1260.This amp is 12channels.If I add more speakers,I will have to buy more amps. Each ZONE will have it's own amp.....no speaker selector box.All zones will be independant.Own volume control, source selection. The Niles preamp can support up to 6 zones 4 sources and 2 tuners, then you can add another preamp for 12 zones.....I might go that way in the future with outdoor zones, garage zone, etc. For now this is a nice start.

Same here! Well, except for the 250 horses thing. I'm already waaaaaay past that, not trying to brag or anything. But I figured I should have a home of my own before I go hog wild on a HOME theater.

    Subwoofer:
I'll follow the Doc with an SVS Sub but I still want to Supe up my 350 for the hell of it.

Progressive Vidio and Multi Channel Audio:
I'll follow Mantis and Max with Multi channel music by adding the dv 47a or ai.

    Vinal
By years end I hope to be torchering max,rlw and every1 else with turntable purchases and questions.

I think from what I have researched so far this should be budgeted for about 2.5-3 Large.

No new home in my near future unfortunately... I believe I'll have to move again this year which does not make me happy at ALL.

Oh Well, lets have some fun!

I swapped out a lot of stuff during the last half of 2002. The only thing I have left to do is to replace the CRS+'s in my home theater rig with two LSiC's. I tried using just one LSiC and that wasn't quite satisfying. The second unit will arrive next Friday. I am very happy with the way the LSiC's blend in with the SDA SRS's I am using for front speakers. Now, my spare pair of SDA 1C's have a pair of SDA CRS+'s to keep them company. BTW, neither pair are for sale.

Now that the house and audio rig upgrades are complete, my upgrade fever in '03 will be of the automotive type.:D

    mantis,

The room is 20'x32' with 12' vaulted ceiling. Actually, I can balance the system so that one center works fine. However, I like the sonic impact that two centers can provide.

My CRS+'s are a perfect timbre match for the SDA SRS's. However, I am not happy with the big, bulky look of the CRS+'s. Going to the LSiC's will shave 5 inches off the height.

    Audio goals for 2003:

2ch tube rig setup on opposite end of HT room. Maybe modify and run LSi9 on it.

Get my hands on a good passive pre-amp, maybe even use it on the tube rig.

    Rega P3 for the mancave.

    Maggie MMG's to play with.

AMC or Cambridge Audio CD player for the cave.

Maybe do something sub-wise in the HT.

    Cheers,

    New 2 ch system...by mar/apr 2003

    Rotel-RB-1080
    Rotel-RC-1070

1 pair of Paradigm Studio 100's/60's (undecided)

Sorry, I wish I could have a pair of Lsi15 but the biggest factor for me is the difference in price in here Canada. I wish the listed price in the US was at par here in Canada.

    dc.

My dad and I are planning on finishing our basement this season... I'm hoping to barter for some Polks for the theater. Right now, all we have is my JVC receiver hooked up to a small pair of JBL bookshelf speakers, but it's better than the wimpy TV speakers. However, the TV is in our living room, and dad doesn't want big speakers in the living room... Perhaps in the basement, though ;)

Well, us import guys (I'm assuming domestic for you ;)) takes a little bit more to get 250 horses. Right now at 211 I should run about a 13.5ish... the powah of awd!

For me it will be organization and tweaking. I have stuff just sitting around wherever I hooked it up at. No real system feel to it. I bought the stands and a rack for the stuff but never got it put together in good order. I don't see any equipment upgrades for quite some time and this goes well with trying to save a little.

    raife1,
nice system. You got a really large size room for theater.I can see why you would want another centerchannel.
