The car from Hell....1981 Chevy Chevette 4 door in silver. The, ahem, sound system consisted of 2 speakers with a Delco AM radio with 5 push buttom memory. It barely espcaped the pull of gravity when I was trying to drive up the hill my school was located at.

'71 Plymouth Cricket. Front fender held together with duct tape. I had a ton of fun in it though. Next was a '69 Cougar. Much faster.

1948 chevy pickup. It wasnt a girl getter by any means :D

    REGARDS SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

1987 Chevrolet Suburban. It was my Dad's, but he shared it with me in high school. The first car I ever paid for on my own is my 2002 Dodge Durango SLT.

Yes, I know your thread was 'the original'.

Not like our worthless search engine helps. Try searching for "first car". It comes up with nada.

    1973 Mustang Convert 351C, 2V
Looked similar this but in a more metalic blue and without the ram-air hood. All show, not a ton of go. Torque boxes and floorpans were rusting out, and you could Flinstone in the back seat, but the body and paint were perfect! Total Rustang, but I loved it.
Bought in 1986, for just under 3K$ -I was 15 and couldn't drive it yet (legally).

Sorry, I believe I already addressed the issue of this "dup" thread on page one back then. Just realize I had ingested a large amount of Mercury the day I started this thread. Have been on the Mercury "wagon" ever since. It makes you act all goofy, stupid and sweaty and ****. I even contemplated putting my sl2000's back in and selling my RD0's, but the Mercury wore off and THANK GOD I'm back to normal. I lost 3 days of my life during that period.

    :D:)

THere's a very funny song on Patty Larkin's first album (Step into the Light) called Dodge Dart; it's about a 1974 Dodge Dart, coincidentally enough.
