    1973 Mustang Convertible 351C
1975 Plymouth Roadrunner, special order, had the factory build sheet, widow sticker, no cats, 360 motor, 340 heads, police package, Carter Thermoquad 1150, Dana 60, 727 Torquer, Smoked the Mustang, but didn't have the look. Fried some wiring in the column, had to start it with a switch.
-10 years in the city, no car-
1996 Saturn SL2, 169K hard city miles no problems, original clutch. Retired to ebay.
2007 Camry No worries. Thing drives itself, and it looks pretty good.

I've had three cars that I'd love to have back, but I think my favorite was a 1965 Plymouth Satellite I bought used in 1968. It had a 426 Stage III Wedge/4speed with a 4:10 rear. With slicks it ran legitimate 11:80's@128mph, I raced it at all three SoCal tracks [Lions, Irwindale, and OCIR] until 1970 when I sold it. It was white with black interior when I bought it and I had Little Johns in Downey paint it Dodge Royal Blue.

THATS what I'm talking about...with a 520" BBC, Lenco 6 speed, tubed and tubbed, 9" ford or Dana with 4:88 gears and a blast of CompuCar gas. Or take it back to almost stock with a slightly built 327, 4spd and worked 12 bolt running 4:10 gears.

    Great post.
I had a 72 cutlass supreme with a rocket 350 in it..as my first car. faded yellow and rusted to hell..but the car was a great first car.

I bought a new jeep grand cherokee out of college and I loved that car...
Now I ride in a free sales rep car, I had an AWD equinox and it was a pretty good ride. I liked it. I got a tiny jeep patriot now... but the optimal word is FREE... free gas, free maint. free insurance etc.. and every 2 years I get a new free whatever they are offering.. not a shabby perk.. i think about getting a nice car to tool around in...but it's tough to get past the free gas, especially in california..

lol, when it was a peg leg, I would make them all sit over the right rear tire for more traction ;)

Honestly though, I never used the car as a "chick magnet". I had a few tire chasers, but those weren't my type of girls. My wife didn't even really care about my car.

My favorite car...I owned around 7 GTO's back then, including an original 1970 Judge. This one is a 1971 GTO with a 466 cubic inch Pontiac engine, 6-71 Mooneyham magnesium blower, Enderle Bugcatcher fuel injection system and a ton of other stuff.

I feel like crying when I look at it. I should have kept it.

When I was 20 (many years ago) I had a '69 Cougar that went like a bat out of hell. Loved that car. I have been driving my current ride for 16 years now. 1989 IROC-Z. 5 speed manual, t-roofs, bright red. Alpine head unit with Infinity's in the dash and side panels, 2 12 inch Alpine type R's in a sealed box in the back. Power is a small alpine for the dash, alpine mrv-1000 for the sides and an Alpine MRV-1507 powering the subs. Awesome sound with big big thump but completely stealthy. All work done by me including the sub box. This car is a blast to drive and listen to.

'99 SVT Contour--Was a really good car for me, handled like it was on rails. Silver Frost was the color, from which my screen name comes.

I took one for the team and traded it in when a minivan became necessary and took possession of my wife's Hyundai Sonata. Reliable and boring.

'63 Pontiac Bonneville. BIG car. Black, blue interior. "The Chief" as it came to be known. The indicator lamp for the high beams was a blue silhouette of Chief Pontiac. I used to drive around with the high beams on all the time. This was your 1973-1974 period.

My first hand me down car was a Blue Green 1973 Volvo 164e 4 speed with electronic overdrive. Definitely Pimp.

Did it have a little button on the top of the shifter? I had an '85 240 DL that had that set up. Wasn't exciting, but I'd have to give credit where due; I walked out of what could have been a nasty accident with only a bruise.

I should have liked my 1967 Chevy II the best, but didn't have the facilities to do it right; it was my first car at 15. Bit off more then I could chew. Now that have a few more resources, my '99 Tacoma that I currently have is my favorite.

I remember my 1978 Ford Fairmont 2 door. I liked that car. I found out later it was the same engine (5.0) and Fox body Chassis used in the 1979 and up Mustangs.

1985 Chrysler Laser. full digital dash, you swore you were driving a car out of Knight Rider. worst turbo lag ever, but when the turbo kicked in, the car could definitly get out of its own way. Got me through alot of college

1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I REALLY miss this truck. drove it for over 9 years (bought it new) served me faithfully. That thing stock was capable of doing crazy **** offroad when called upon. I traded it for a 2006 Volvo and question that decision to this day

1991 GMC Sierra pick up. My dad's ride that I inherited from his passing. Still have it, still love it. 92000 miles and still going. I actually use this as my current daily driver

2007 Mustang GT. Dumped the Volvo for this car. Black with red interior. God, I love this car. currently sitting in the garage for the winter. Getting some goodies next week, in the form of a Watts Link for the rear axle, 3.73 gears, a cold air intake, and tuned accordingly.

I had two cars in the past that I would give my left nut for again. The first was a red '63 Vette with the split rear window. The other was a '72 Buick Riviera with a 455 and a quadro jet.

Loved my old Pontiac's also ....

68 Grand Prix the fastest car I ever been in on the highway 160+ mph in this baby

Most of all my car stories are based on this car.

69 Grand Prix loved this car also, faster off the line fun to drive. Top end gear just not there. Loved the hood the longest in the industry at the time John DeLorean design while he was with Pontiac.

Still own a 428ci Pontiac engine from this time period.

I still have two of my favorites from growing up in the 60's and 70's
my cobra is the red one and my torino cobra is the 1971 super cobra jet with the 429 370 horsepower. The car is all original but it has been detailed.
The black and white is just this last summer on a road trip through missouri on old route 66. The car is my buddies and I snapped it on my drive by.
