I am using the Rotel RB-980BX (current model RB-1070) for LSi9s and the RMB-1075 for the LSiC and LSiFX surrounds. The two extra channels will be for future use when I move to 7.1 and purchase LSi7s. This combination drives the LSi series very well. The low end for my system is rounded out by two Def Tech subs.

If you like to listen to two-channel sources, consider using a two-channel amp for the LSi9s and a multi-channel amp for the surrounds.

    Shannon,
If you haven't heard Rotel and Lsi together....man your missing out.Go check out Rotels line up, even there receivers are really good sounding.

I'd say if money is tight,go check into the rsx1055.I have heard so many good things about it.You can buy a 2 channel amp for the main channels and redirect the internal amp to the surround back channel. Now thats a cool **** feature.I love it.
If your more power hungry, check out the rsx1065.Beast I will have to say.Alot of headroom. It's basically an intergraded, like all of Rotels stuff, amps come first then everything else falls in line.

I'm 100% a fan and supporter of Rotel.

Arcam is good stuff, but it's a bit costly for the average Polkie.

Arcam, Adcom, Carver, NAD, Rotel, Cambridge, Creek, Parasound, GAS (if you can find it), AMC, Anthem, the list goes on and on.

    shannon,
I've got 1065, boy, oh boy, it provided me with a lot of high juicy current for my LSi15 and Fx....
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
