I'm installing a pair of rc60i in a ceiling. The only spot I can put them will leave the speakers 1" from the 220v line that feeds my oven/stove. Will I get any interference through the speaker? 110v is near also (2-3"). Also, does anyone recommend placing insulation behind them ( for sound)? The placement is in the ceiling between the first and second floors. Thanks for the help.

    Right near power huh,
not good.If you can relocate the speaker,it would be in your best interest.Don't defeat your purpose with a hum.....If the speaker has to stay there,At least run the speaker wire away from the power lines.I would consider a different location.Patching isn't hard save the cuttout and use wood backing.allgood.

Insulate all day,use it,it will tighten up the little bass response you can get out of them.
