Well, I heard the HD-DVDs in your home will start to melt on March 1st. The fluid will leak out of your cases and infect your other DVDs and Blu-Ray discs by coagulating around them.

It's a real mess, but I hear onion juice mixed with freshly minced garlic will remove any of it that gets on your carpet.

This is what happened when Demi is completely done playing at the Veteran and up level, on every single 360 games that he owned. He is bored. :)
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

And the oil from pregnant Arctic Char will reduce the onion and garlic smell.

wadda bout seal oil, I know you got some of that. Can you use it to clean HD-DVD?? Although I think I saw someone post a thread about the format overtaking something then dying of something.

I was at BB in Rockford IL yesterday. A couple was looking at new TV's and talking to the BB sales critter about BD vs HD-DVD. The BB sales critter told them that BB was dropping shelf space for HD-DVD because BD had won the format war. He advised that BB would only be showcasing BD going forward. If HD-DVD loses its retail channel, it's truly holding aces over eights in this game.

I noticed at Wally World yesterday that there were a lot of empty spaced on the HD-dvd side, while the Blu side seemed to dominate the display. This fight will be decided at the retail level. If enough sales people at BB,CC or wherever say that HD is dead, it will be.

so then HD-DVD is like a Zombie????

I find it all rather amusing since I have not actually sunk any significant dough into it, the upcoverting of standard DVD is pretty amazing though.

I would start one thread announcing that Toshiba has made an announcement, and a separate thread with the link to the announcement. You could even start a third thread discussing the announcement.

You meant like what's going on at AVSforum, trizillion threads on boo hoo my d#@k is bigger than yours? ;)

Having a duo player is definitely the way to go since I can't see the battle is going to be over soon, and even if that's the case, consumers are still the one ended up with holding the bag full of obsolete gears and movies.

My prediction is that HD DVD won't see 2009. With the addition of Warner/New Line/HBO I don't see how it could survive buy just cutting prices of players. In 2007 Blu-ray software out sold HD DVD by a wide margin, it will only be more so with Warner. As we have seen in 2007 player prices did not help software sales enough to surpass blu-ray software sales. In all honesty I think studios are looking at how many of their movies sell rather than how many players Toshiba sells.

It'll be good to just get this stupid format war over with sooner than later.

I was at CC today and the salesperson reiterated what i've read thruout here. My question is why have 2 competing formats and then have 1 die so soon. Competition is so much better whatever the formats are. Also with competition prices would be better.
