I drove an hour to get to work, just to sit here and watch it snow all day. Were expecting up to 18"s today.

A couple days ago they were saying we're gonna get a foot here overnight north of Boston. As of last night it was down to 3 inches. Today I expect the weather report to say we're getting nothing.

Enjoy the snow! It's way better than rain.

I am West of Philly and we are bracing for a Noreaster to start later this evening. Expecting snow->sleet->rain->snow->rain and then a LOT of wind.

Personally I hate winter but if I leave the area I miss the changing of the seasons. Oh well!

I've got a couple of amps and a sub in the garage. The truck is leased, so I'll not be putting anything like that in it. I appreciate it though.

You can put systems in leased vehicles no problem. Just don't modify the vehicle. There are plenty of holes to run wires and ways to secure the stuff without drilling holes and modifying anything.

Seeing as how Noel has been in the car buiness for quite a few years, I'm sure he knows it is better to NOT change ANYTHING on a lease. They don't need much proof to hit you with a few expensive penalties. Right Noel?

You can, just be careful with that wiring harness. Speakers in the factory locales, etc. It's just my lease is short term and it's just not worth the time and effort to upgrade an already decent Alpine factory system.

Thanks Noel....Yea I'm keeping the factory speakers, I just added an amps and some small 10" subs. Nothing crazy, just a lil extra, ooommmfff, ya know?

No harnesses have been cut(tapped yes, cut, no).

It may be interesting to see what they say when you take it back. What matters is what's in all the fine print on the lease, not what someone "told" you when they threw you the keys. That guy was probably gone 2 months after you walked out of the dealership (high turnover) and would deny he ever said it if he's still there when you go to turn it in. You may be able to pull it off...just beware.

Hm...this was from the sales manager(we know him) so I trust what he said. I negotiated a good buy out price at the end of the lease as well, so I will probably end up buying the vehicle anyway. Not to mention I really enjoy driving it.

Most people, including pro installers, don't realize how easy it is to accidentally tap into the wrong wire or short something and BAM....there goes a $1500 puter or screw up the stability system or safety restraint system. These are very complicated systems when compared to just ten years ago.
