Snow is coming down in buckets here. I enjoy it, can't wait to for a drive to the gym in 3 hours.

Why would you like driving in the snow???

Every major road in New England is now at a standstill. I'm at work - was considering leaving at noon and am now hating myself for not - and am not even going to bother trying to go home. Estimates are at over four hours for me to get home at this point (usually takes about 45 mins).

One guy said he ran out about an hour ago, and couldn't even get to the end of our street because of traffic, and just came back.

Looks like I'll be at work for a while.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

All we've got this week is rain, rain, rain, and rain. Weird weather. It was 63 on Tuesday here.

Just adds a little enjoyment to the boring drive to the gym. My car is AWD with good tires and good brakes, I don't have a problem at all driving in any sort of snow.

Not to mention the roads will be empty and the gym will be even more empty.

Lots of snow here over the last couple hours. A fellow coming by to by my Advents got into a gentle fender-bender on the way over.

I wouldn't count on it, unless you plan on going way later.

If I pulled it out of the garage I wouldn't be able to get it back in. :D

A friend of mine who lives maybe 10 minutes away just got back from lunch.

Note : it is now 3:23.

It took him an hour and a half to do the ten minute drive. The street in front of my work is so stopped, he said it took 35 mins to get from the restaurant on the corner (maybe 200 yards away) to my street.

I may actually be sleeping at work tonight. This sucks.

I just hope the power stays on at this point.

Seems like an AWD car is very good for getting around in the snow. Up here in NYC we see lots of RWD
cars go nowhere in the snow.

They let us out at 2. It was wall to wall people on the trolley. I'm SO glad I don't drive.

    Good luck Bobman!

I'm glad I bought my ZJ three years ago. Big difference in snow having a truck with ground clearance, a locking transfer case, 4lo, and knobby all-terrain tires. Tires are new this year--lived with nearly original highway treads too long.

God, I don't miss that. Of course traffic is always at a standstill in Dallas.
Drive carefully. The other guys on the road are worse than the actual snow.

Give us some of that moisture and quit hogging it all. It has rained 8 days down here since May the 12th and some of those days it was just a 30 minute drizzle, but moisture is so scarce down here now....we call it rain. If this keeps up we will consider fog rain!

For those with snow.....can you say SNOWBALL FIGHT!!! :D

HAHAHAHA!!!! The last storm I dealt with was the Nor'easter in Feb. of 2005. Still got the picture of the cars at my apt. complex COMPLETELY BURIED, on my entertainment center.
It is a daily reminder of WHY I moved down here(not the ONLY reason).
Yup! 35+ years of that stupidity was ENOUGH for me.
The attached was after 10 hrs. of snow. It continued for another 12+
    Good luck & have fun.

I decided not to go the gym unfortunately. Here is why:

However, I will go outside in a bit and shovel my two driveways by hand instead of snowblower to get my exercise for the night.

Bagged: It's been several years since we've seen that kind of snow down here in NC. I kinda miss it - one or 2 good snows a winter is OK.

Looks like you've got about 3-4.5 inches there in that pic... Have fun shoveling!
