In my experience with toe in, the R speaker should laser beam right past about an inch or two from your R ear, the same goes for the L speaker. That's just me.
Looks like this would be a better sounding setup. Let your ears decide. If you can't place the sub where McLoki suggested, the setup that you have should do you justice until you can. Again, let your ears decide. It's your rig.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

Very nice."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
-
For toe in - the inside edge of the speaker should be pointed at your ear on that side. (well start with that anyway and tweak from there....)
I though the sub was ok where it was at, but to be honest, your best bet is to put some wood on your couch, set the sub on it (basically so the sub is firing into the wood rather than into the couch cushion), play some bass heavy music and crawl around on the floor till you find a place that the bass sounds good. Then switch positions wth the sub. Sounds really stupid, but it works pretty well.
Michael
sounds like a very good way to find the right spot for the sub! will get long interconnects and try it out!

Sound Pressure Level meter is used to measure a speakers output at a certain distance in decibels. or, it measures how loud your s*** is dude! cheers!:pMy Rig

Nice setup! I'm thinging of having the rears setup like your number 6 and 7. My rears will be 7 feet off the ground and 5 1/2 feet of seperation. Now thinking of LSi-7's to match the LSi-15's up front.
-
The spl meter is used to calibrate all of your speakers for level output. So you would have them all set at reference level for a nice even sound.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

my freaking yamaha dvd-s2700 chewed up every disc i put in there! its history now...here is the damage...16 dvds and 23 cds. here is the worst 2
Sony PS3 replaced the pos
the soundstage/imaging is spectacular. i think the cause was the scratch/friction caused the spindle speed to become unstable and the data stream fed to the DAC was erratic on the yamaha...and still soundstage was great
with the PS3...the imaging has pin point accuracy, so much more detail i did not hear on the yamaha.my 7.(1x4) HT setup

you can resurface those cd's and dvd's with a bit of elbow grease. I usually start with 1000 grit wet sandpaper then step up to 2500. Next a cut polish followed by foam pad polishing glaze. Finally... wax. Yup, just like the clear coat on a car. Works wonderfully, especially on expensive video game discs.
