They are a pain in the **** to place, but once you get it right, they sound amazing. My toe-in intersects about an inch in front of my nose . . .

I'm hoping the lamp on ceiling doesn't blast.
-
i have not fired them up yet...waiting for franks xlr cables to show up
what i manage to position so far:
A=4'
B=7', too short as thats almost in the middle of my square room...bass is ZERO there...

8 feet is the optimal distance between the speakers. Also, I noticed they have a significantly larger soundstage and cleaner separation when I sit about 11 feet away from the speakers. Recently, I was sitting 8 feet to have a perfect triangle, but 11 feet seems to be the sweet spot in my room.

I use the preset with the most bass. I think that's seven or something. Don't remember right now, but I like it that way. I'm four feet from my back wall and about 3 feet from the side walls.

I want to hear your review SlowCar! I'm DYING to hear those speakers!
-
I'm looking to build something similar using a Vifa XT tweeter.
I hope it works out for you."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
Hi Guys,
The mounting bolts that protrude from the bottom of the CS2 speaker are actually the ends of U-bolts. It appears that some of these have a slightly different center-to-center spacing at the ends from the bending process. This can cause a misalignment when mating the base to the speaker.
We have addressed this potential issue by machining the inside holes of the base in a racetrack shape which accounts for any variations in the U-bolt shape.
Thanks,
Clayton Shaw

So after all the speakers you have gone through, which is your favorite? Which had the best soundstage, best imaging, best overall sound, etc? Which do you think was the worst? Do you think you will ever be settled? Are you going to try Kplisch or B&W?
Thanks for your hard work in trying all these different configurations out. It's been fun reading this thread. -

this is by far the best combination. the soundstage spans the whole front wall, also due to so many big drivers, its able to move so much air - its a real moving experience, the tactile sensation so real. I have watched the transformer movie uncountable times on my previous speaker setup and also at demo room at the local high end ht dealer - none comes close to what this current setup can do.my 7.(1x4) HT setup

I was going to mention that you need some larger speakers if you want any air movement at all. Especially if you are trying to rely on bass just from that little twinky of a sub you have.....:pMains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
