What can you get to match it for the price? I can't think of anything off hand. A 6L6 based integrated amp for under $600?

There is a GIANT KILLER speaker combo right in front of everyone here. Those little Usher shelf speakers and that PSB sub for under a grand? That's uber hifi if I ever saw it. I have a pair of those little Usher paired with a good sub and the presenation is jaw dropping.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Selling locally has been going a little better than expected, and I think there are gonna be some severe gear changes around this little cave.

    I'll take the Onix.

I posted real pics of the Usher Audio V-602. They turned out to be Red Mahogany, not Golden Birch. Oh well, but it turns out to be a beautiful speaker. The finish is a nice, rich color.

Here's a new system showcase pic with the "current" setup....it's always changing :D

An interesting note to this picture is that the Usher's(54lb) are much larger dimensionally than the Spendor(41lb), yet weigh about the same. It's a testament to build quality for both of them, as it is excellent but the Spendor cabinet is practically D E A D resonant.

The Ushers are back up for grabs since some Sonus Faber Cremonas are in the pipeline.

The V-602 has been alot of fun and Lightman1 may be able to offer his thoughts on the demo he received when he was in town.

    Whats up man,
Hows the B&K doing? I still see it in your theater setup. What are you upgrading to for theater speakers??? I'm actually waiting for B&K to release there new preamp.

Mantis - I finally decided to go with the LSi series. I'm wondering about the new B&K gear also since the new line is coming out. I'm not sure if I'm going to go that route again, especially if they haven't established a better user interface. I've been shopping for a new AVR either way, just undecided at the moment. Anthem....Adcom....Parasound....too many choices.

Very cool man. Lsi and B&K go together very well. After all these years you will once again improve your sound quality. The 307 sounds fantastic running them.

I'm eagerly waiting for them to release there new stuff. It's May as far as I know. I'm thinking of going back to B&K. Rotels new preamp sucks.

Really? I thought you were happy with the Rotel combination since you picked up the Dynaudio? May? Ugh. Do you know anything else aside from what was released at CES?

I upgraded the 307 to the 317 a couple years ago.

Hey Mark,I have been playing for a little over a month with a pair of Usher V-601's which are the stand mounted little brother to the V-602's and a Epik Valor subwoofer. The Usher V series are really stellar with tubes.thanks....WCW III

Hey Mark,I have never owned any of the Green Mountain Audio speakers although i am a fan of them.I just got a Cambridge Audio 840C from Spearit sound on friday :D and i just Sold my mono extreme SE's to a friend over at the Audio Circles last week .I have collected alot of gear but until recently i have never sold any of my collection,I have so much nice gear sitting around here that i am not using that i am going to have to start to sell some just to free up space in my house and storage shed;) MY V-cap /MD BluePicker modded BAT VK60 is my primary Amplifier in my main two channel rig and the Lorelei's are my main loudspeakers when i am not playing with the Usher V-601's and the Epik Valor subwoofer. If the 840C burns in as nicely as i think it will it may replace my My HRAM stage3+ JD100A as my source in the main Rig.thanks....WCW III

The Lorelei's were what I was thinking of...my mistake. It wouldn't suprise me if it replaced the Jolida and it's about time you got rid of the Odyssey gear. I used to get off on having a ton of gear laying around but decided I'd rather have last minute buying power instead :D I had a pair of Usher Be-718 a few weeks ago and if this other angle doesn't work out, I may get them again.
