Usher Audio V602 Loudspeaker - Red Mahogany - 9/10 - *SOLD* to Beekyman

This is a very smooth sounding, well built floorstander from Usher. They were purchased brand new, have been lightly used and since I'm the original owner, I'll ensure you're taken care of should anything happen for 6 months. It has a rock solid, warm midrange with a tight low end from a slot loaded enclosure. Don't let the 39hz mislead you, as it has balls. You will not be dissapointed.

The cabinet is mounted on a powdercoated steel, spiked plinth and the Red Mahogany is really sharp to look at. Here are some specifications....

2-way system : tweeter 1" (9930-20NC), low-bass 7" (8935A)
sensitivity: 87 dB @ 1 watt / 1m
nominal impedance: 8 ohms
frequency response (-3 dB): 39 Hz ~ 20 kHz
power handling: 70 watts
crossover frequencies: 2.2 kHz
weight: 24.2 kgs
dimensions (w x d x h): 23.8 cm x 29.2 cm x 103.6 cm

Soundstage Review

I will also ship these anywhere in the CONUS, insured and w/ the original double box packaging.

Includes: Original everything.

Usher Audio S520 Loudspeaker - Piano Yellow - 9/10 - *SOLD*

A killer bookshelf speaker from Usher. These are brand new, never used. I have another pair so it doesn't make sense to have these laying around. I'm the original owner and will honor the manufacturers 1 year warranty. They can be bi-wired or bi-amped and are easy to drive, even at 86db.

They are in brilliant Piano Gloss, Gallardo(Lamborghini) Yellow. They are eye popping to look at and the finish is amazing. Here's some specifications....

2-way system: tweeter 1" (UA025-10), mid-bass 5" (YS-13225W-XP), or (shielded mid-bass 5": YS-13225-2XP)
sensitivity: 86 dB @ 1 watt / 1m
nominal impedance: 8 ohms
frequency response (-3 dB): 52 Hz ~ 20 kHz
power handling: 50 watts
crossover frequencies: 2 kHz

Onix SP3 MkII Integrated Amplifier - Silver - 9/10 - *SOLD* to Beekyman

This is another kick-**** piece and a beauty to look at as well. I'd say it sounds better than the Jolida's that I've heard but that's just me. I prefer it without the tube cage and sliders since I enjoy a nice tube glow. I have some silicon dampers available if you want to go that route. It's a silver, metal flake paint....really cool. Here's some data....

Power: 38 Watts x 2
Tube Compliment: 4 x 5881, 2 x 12AX7, 2 x
6922, 2 x 12AU7
MFR: 20 Hz to 20 kHz
Class AB
Manually Adjustable Bias
Input Impedance: 250 kOhms
Input Sensitivity: 380 mV
Output Impedance: 4 or 8 Ohms
S/N Ratio: >90 dB
THD: 1%
Dimensions: 8.1" H x 11.9" W x
13.25" D
Weight: 56 Pounds

It's been freshly biased, treated with CAIG and comes with brand new Melody 5881 tubes. I have another quad of Melody 5881 that I will include with the amp. It is 4ohm stable and the binding posts are top notch. I thought the amp really opened up with the JJ Tesla 6L6 but YMMV. Either way, you can have alot of fun playing with different tubes in this beast.

The unit was barely used, boxed up and is so fresh that you can still smell the automotive grade paint as if it was new. You'll see what I mean when you open the box.

Includes: Original box, packaging, brand new tube glove, owners manual, etc.

Anthem Pre-2L Pre-Amplifier - Black - 9/10 - *SOLD* to Kkerley33

One of my favorite pre-amps ever and a real high end bargain. It also has a tube regulated headphone amplifier built-in and it sounds great. It drives everything in the Grado and Sennheiser line perfectly. I've added Dynamat to the chassis and all connections have been treated with CAIG products. The included tubes are the original Sovtek but I was using Mullards with excellent results. It's a great pre-amp to roll tubes in and it can be done at reasonable prices. I didn't like Bugle Boy's or Ei in it at all, just FYI.

I'm not sure what you may be running on the front and back end but the adjustable gain feature is really nice. I've owned pre-amps in the past where the gain was so hot that you barely get on the knob, and others where it was so low, you're maxed out. This pre-amp will not have that problem as it's defined by you in 8db(8/16/24) increments. I've always had it set on 8db, and it worked fine for the ever changing 2CH rig.

It's in near mint condition with no known issues. It's remote controlled and uses one of the most common tubes around, the 6922/6DJ8/E88CC. I've owned this series 3 times in my travels and I always miss it when it goes but I'm hooked on this battery powered Welborne, so it has to go.

Includes: Original box, packaging, tube glove, screwdriver, etc.

Spendor S5e Loudspeaker - Rosenut - 9/10 - *SOLD*

One of the first Spendors I've owned and it's a benchmark for me. They sound absolutely gorgeous and if you don't want to marry these speakers after a nice midnight session, you're just plain lame. The build quality is very very high, veneer is rich and the cabinets are almost dead quiet. The are mounted to outriggers and factory spiked.

I WILL SHIP these speakers. They are somewhat small and I have all the original packaging, as well as the double box. These are packaged like a speaker should be packaged. Polk might learn something about that someday. Don't sweat about the shipping as I get killer rates and they will most certainly be insured. I will assist in any warranty issues you may have since I'm the original owner for 1 year. As long as you don't abuse them, you'll be fine. I've never had any issues with a Spendor.

You will need some decent power for these and tubes are a major bonus. I was using them with a CTC BBQ amplifier, Welborne Labs pre-amp and a Wadia 830/Sony SCD-555ES CDP. Stereophile Class B recommended if that's how you roll.

PSB SubSeries 6 Subwoofer - Black - 9/10 - *SOLD* to Shawn474

I know it's tough sell for subwoofers in the SVS crazed world but this was a standout for me in the 2CH rig. I used this coupled with a pair of Magnepan 10.1 and it blended much better than the SVS 25-31 I used awhile ago. It's been lightly used and I don't recall any flaws when I packed it up. glossy piano lacquer finish, indeed.... but a yellow piano makes me think of the Tele-Tubbies or the Banana Splits or something.

In fairness, I reckon they're pretty nice sounding.

definitely, thanks Mark. I was looking at this or the Dodd ELP (if I can ever find one) to be my first foray into the world of tubes. I knew yesterday when my car died that one of them would come up for sale. I even told myself to stay off of polkforums for a couple of days. Doh well!
